Ciao Burger & Shawarma — Restaurant in Wasaga Beach

We ordered the "Fresh" cut fries, I put fresh in quotation because they were anything but fresh. We purchased 2 orders, and they came out instantly. I mean like, instantly, my tap just went through and the food appeared at the window. The fries came out and it was pitiful to say the least. They were soggy, they were dry and that was not even the worst part. The worst part was it came out cold! Like stone cold, I think I might have had frozen fries warmer than these.

If they did not want to service/sell food, they could've have simple refused. Instead they took my money and gave me end of the day cold fries, and charged me fill price. If they had said "hey listen, we have end of day fries do you want them for reduced price?" And if I had agreed, then that's on me and I can't complain. Or even if they had simple told us that they were end of the day fries, then again, I went into it full knowing what I was getting myself into and that would be on me.

If they had simply turned us away, we would've just moved on to the next stand on the strip, no harm no foul.

I did not see the point in bringing this matter to the owners attention or to even complain, as I'm sure they could've have cared less and would tell me to kick rocks. Instead I left the the stone cold fries on the table to let the seagulls decide their fate.

Questions, is it consider animal cruelty to feed the seagulls those fries?

Would give 1 star if it was possible to do so and leave a review. 0/10, would not recommend. If there was no food on the whole beach, I would sooner recommend you eat the sand instead of visiting Ciao Burgers...

One of the few non-chain establishments serving burgers/wraps at a prime location in the middle of Wasaga Beach Area 1. Service was slow, took 15 minutes to pick up our food. Portions were abysmal. A heads-up that the portion for sweet potato fries is half the size but more expensive than the regular fries portion. Chicken shawarma was cold, scant in my salad, with a lot of white/non-edible meat. Most, if not everything in this place is frozen. The burger was made out of Costco ingredients, the shawarma pita was not pita and was also not heated at all, the fries and onion rings were all swimming in grease, and the poutine, specifically the pulled pork poutine, was utter rubbish.
