Galaxy Cinemas Waterloo — Attraction in Waterloo

Grate place to watch the latest and grates movie with friends and family.This Movie theater provides good quality movies. Sound and movies quality is perfect but even great things have problems.

Problem #1

self service This theater in Waterloo use to be a theater with a service and ticket desk now turned into a self service machine. me and my friends went to order tickets for myself, himself and his sister we clicked for 1 child and 2 general admission but it did not enter the 2 general emission passes . we asked a staff for help but they just redirected use to the food counter and said we could get our tickets there. Witch I did not know they should have a sign saying tickets at the food counters.

Problem #2 Choosing you seats

This is the reason why I deiced to write this review. after you chose your tickets you get a screen asking you to choose your seats. Personally I think this is stupid because people don't care about this. People will sit were ever they wish. On the night of my movie when we came into the theater we found a family sitting in our seats. I said to my friend that we should screw the stupid system and sit were ever we want, so we did.

Problem 3

snacks and service

On any evening cineplex Waterloo is normally busy at the snack stations. When I came for my movie I wanted my nacho cheese (which is always been great) and it took me 5 minutes to get up to the register to order. The man serving was nice and fast. Not to mention I was late and my movies ads would start playing soon( I like watching the ads). Likely I arrived while some ads were running but still I was late so the long lines did not help. The best way to fix this issue is to open more registers.

Over all my movie was great and I enjoyed it. I just think that this cineplex and others can make counters more happy by adding some more options when it comes to paying and getting into enjoy a great movie I like the process to be easy and I like to enjoy my experience while doing so. I hope you found this helpful. Because of these fixable issues does not mean I will never come here again but having said that , that does not mean that this should be ignored. That is all I have to say so please...

I don’t bring my kids to the movies often because of how expensive it is to go these days. Especially that it’s extra for butter on popcorn now, and even more $$ for layered!?! 😳 So a few weeks ago my daughter wanted to see a movie with her friend and my son was excited for the Bad Guys 2 to come out (we saw 1 and it was great!) We have not been to Waterloo for a movie, since Fairway is closer we always go there. But this was the only theater showing both movies at close to the same time so I thought why not. My daughter’s movie was much longer so I spent a lot of time in the lobby and the arcade with my boy and his buddy. Arcade isn’t cheap but they had a blast in there. Sunday, so mall closed and was glad the arcade was there to give them something fun to do while waiting. Expensive but fun. Lol. I will say the staff was really accepting of my boys running around and being quite silly while we waited. It was empty in the lobby for the most part. They kindly gave me change for the machines and didn’t criticize us hanging out for so long. The part that absolutely astounded me was the theatre, especially those seats!! The theatre itself wasn’t very clean. Garbage from the last movie in isles and sticky floor and the worst part was those horrendous old school seats that creek and squeak and bounce! I’m only 46 but my back was so sore like half way in and the boys could barely stay in them! They close up if you’re smaller and don’t stay put. I mean two ten yr old boys have enough trouble sitting still, then add bouncy loose chairs and talk about disaster! I would have never paid for anything if I knew that’s what we were going to have to sit in. I guess going to Fairway has spoiled us and I had no idea those rickety old seats still existed from when I was a kid and that’s all they had. Sorry for the longest review ever, but I feel like people should know what they’re getting into here. When my daughter’s movie let out, first thing she said was what the heck is up with those seats!?! Movie aside, no one should ever be put through that! I’d go...

Dear Galaxy Cinemas Waterloo, Thank you for Ruining My entire movie Evening,

We were 4 friends who planned to watch a movie my 2 friends reached before me and bought the tickets and then went inside the Theater as the movie was about to begin and they sent us a clear picture of 2 separate tickets so that we could get entry.

Me and my friend, We reached almost on time thinking that we wouldn't miss the movie at all but guess what even after reaching on time we missed 12 mins of movie

Explaining further what happened.... The person who was checking tickets tried scanning tickets and he said scanners could scan tickets as they are pictures of physical tickets although the ticket pictures were perfectly visible they can see date times and tickets barcode and number they didn't allow us to enter we even requested them we were getting late but they were very very strict and not listening to our request.

We even told them to Enter the barcode number in their system to check they couldn't even do that as they had disability and couldn't see properly but still they denied our entry so i would request you to allow at least to provide some basic good customer service so that we can enjoy

Lastly we had to call our friend outside with the tickets they scanned and after so much drama we finally went and Chery on the Cake the Seat was So broken and Uncomfortable Totally never ever coming...
