Dress for the weather! Like all observatories, this is an "open sky" venue, so in mid winter, it gets cold. Come and take a look through one of, if not the, best equipped (based on my experienxe only) public observatories in Canada. That Edmonton has some of the worst light pollution in the country makes that claim all the more amazing. The staff here really know the night (and daytime) sky, and always have a variety of objects to share. We waited in line for over 30 minutes, only to get stuffed into a room full of people, where this lady took her shoes off and stunk the whole area with her feet.
The room was crowded with people, that we had to sit on these chairs and look up the whole duration that it felt like our necks were going to break.
