We stumbled on this Bistro on a quick trip to Edmonton. We had business on the West End and pulled in to the parking lot to go to a coffee place and then noticed the bistro had Indian food. So glad we were curious enough to go in!! First off, we noticed the artwork featuring Nepal and then Nepalese food on the menu. We've been to Nepal, so we were super excited to meet the Nepalese owner. We chose to try Indian and Nepalese food that night, and it was amazing!! Delicious, generous portions and reasonably priced. The owner was checking in with us throughout our meal. Super friendly. You can tell their is great pride and delight in what they make and serve. We had a 3 hour drive home that night and all we could talk about was that fantastic meal and how we want to tell everyone about Mountain Bistro. It is going to be 'our' spot now when we go to Edmonton. Update: we were in Edmonton again today. Tried the veg Korma and the steamed momos this time...and stuck with rice, naan and dal makhani (which we love). Again, the food was superb! The momos were better than what we had in Nepal! We will keep coming back!!

I’ve been coming to Green Beans Mountain Bistro for years, always thought it was an interesting name yet they’ve been amazing since day one. I remember when they first opened—owner visited my table was super friendly and accommodating and, they have been super hospitable since. The food has always been extremely consistent, which is rare to find. Easily one of my favourite Indian restaurants. They do offer some North American-style options like sandwiches and fries, plus soups and other side dishes, but I always stick to my go-to Indian dishes. The service is top-notch—same friendly faces at the front every time, which says a lot about the place. I was here again today for take out, I was not the only one (others trickled in also). I also noticed three gentlemen dining in, enjoying sandwiches and fries. Then a group of kids came in from a nearby school and ordered some food (didn’t catch what), but it just goes to show the mix of clientele they get here. Feels like a neighbourhood staple. Reasonable pricing, highly recommend!

Incredibly mediocre Indian food. The mixed vegetables dish was laden with frozen No Name Mixed Vegetables and therefore quite limp and bland. The $17 Lamb Seekh Kebab consisted of 1 overcooked and dry kebab and was ridiculously overpriced. Their Aloo Gobi is also mediocre and definitely one of the lower tiered ones I've had throughout my life (a review agreed upon by the Indian people I dined with). Having grown up around East Indians all of my life and had world-class Indian cuisine in numerous countries, I can safely say that I would never recommend this place. Overpriced, poorly cooked, subpar flavours, and cheaply sourced ingredients. They also cannot prepare an order on time and will make you wait a long time when picking up, even if you give them an hours notice and they tell you it will be finished by a certain time and ready for pick up. Save your money and go elsewhere. Perhaps Khazana downtown?

The search for the best Indian Restaurant is over! THIS IS IT. THIS IS THE ONE. We fell in love with Indian Cuisine! After my in-laws introduced us to this restaurant, it was on our minds for the whole week! We couldn’t wait to go back! That’s how amazing the food is. It’s so rare to taste food and have it linger on your mind 24/7 after you’ve had it. It definitely made an impression and man, that impression is permanent. We’re hooked and we’ll keep coming back, we’re telling everyone about this place. Can’t wait to share their food with more family and friends! Their food just makes you soooo happy, soooo satisfied!! Beautiful flavours and texture. The meat is so tender and their fish is cooked perfectly, best fish we ever had! So fluffy and light. We’ve made it our mission to taste something new on their menu every visit. Everything we’ve ever tried is exceptional! An absolutely enjoyable experience!

Family friendly, they have a good change table area for the little ones.

The customer service is great! The owner is really wonderful and you can tell he cares about the quality of food & service he provides. Their server is very nice as well!...
