I recently visited Transcona Aquatic Park, and overall, it was a decent experience. Here are my thoughts on different aspects of the facility:
Bathrooms/Change Rooms: Unfortunately, the bathrooms and change rooms were poorly managed during my visit. They seemed to be lacking proper maintenance and attention. However, I believe this is an area that can be improved with better upkeep and regular cleaning.
Waterslides: While I didn't personally try the waterslides, they definitely caught my attention. They appeared to be thrilling and enjoyable for those who are fond of water attractions. Based on their appearance, I believe they would provide a great source of fun and entertainment for visitors.
Pool Cleanliness: I was pleased to find that the pool itself was clean and well-maintained. The water was clear, and the pool area appeared to be regularly attended to. This attention to cleanliness enhances the overall experience for visitors, and I appreciate the effort put into maintaining a hygienic environment.
Splash Pad: The splash pad here, was undoubtedly the highlight of my visit. It offered a lot of fun and excitement, especially for younger visitors. The interactive water features and playful atmosphere provided a refreshing escape from the summer heat. I highly recommend it for families with children.
Overall, my experience at Transcona Aquatic Park was a mix of positives and areas that could be improved. The pool itself was clean and well-maintained, offering a pleasant swimming environment. However, I was disappointed with the condition of the bathrooms and change rooms, which require better management. On a brighter note, the waterslides seemed enticing, and the splash pad was a delightful experience. I hope the management takes these suggestions into consideration to provide an even more enjoyable experience for...
Read moreI'm going three stars because we had a great/terrible time there. It's a great place to go and chill. Clean for a public pool. Cool slides pool etc. Worth the $7 per adult to get in. But when somebody pinched a loaf and the pool needed to be evacuated, that's when we got to see how poorly run this place is. Clearly this is not something that the staff deals with daily, but the lack of professionalism that started the moment we arrived earlier. As with most gov/business giving the money is never a problem. But getting proof of your purchase is equally important to the one who gives the money. This was a challenge. However I now know that once you pay you're expected to find a lifeguard to give you a wrist band. Hmm, OK next time I will avoid the bs and walk right in and just ask a lifeguard for a wristband. Ya, that's what the bs was about. I couldn't figure out why they wouldn't give you a wristband when you pay. Then when we were all asked to leave, they would only refund those that had been there for less than a 1/2 hour. We didn't pack two coolers and a two bags drove half way across the city to spend 1/2 hour. We had been there for just over an hour. But the city didn't think they should refund our money at aprox 4pm when the hours of operation is until 7pm. Would...
Read moreThe pool is excellent, there is lots of parking space around the area. The location is popular in the whole area. It has 4 slides and the pool is large with both deep and shallow ends duely separated. It has enough lifeguards to serve all attendants. There are dressers easily accessible. The place is accessible by wheelchair too. The major problem of the pool is its own popularity. Transcona is a bedroom community populated with growing families. The City is indifferent to this fact, they are indifferent to the needs of more staff or physical expansion or changes in schedule. So, people are forced to line up to wait 2 hours to get in. For many people, the pool is worth the wait. The wait becomes more bothersome since there are no shades, and the sun is brutal in sunny days. The line up is permanent until 2 hours prior to closing time. So people know that after 2 hours of stay in the pool after the opening, many people will start leaving, abd then they get to access the pool. However, there is a system of reservation of spots that can be done online. It is recommended to reserve your spots if you dont want to line up for 2 hours. I call upon the City of Winnipeg to do some expansion in this place, given its popularity through out the...
