I love local gaming stores and the culture and atmosphere that generally go along with them, and I visit dozens all over North America each year. This store somehow manages to confuse its role and presents a sub par experience. It is extremely frustrating (and in the case of pricing, potentially in contravention of the Competiton Act 74.01(02)) that they do not price or logically organize the cards in their display cases. As a retail store, I expect to see a price on the items for sale at all times. Its ironic though because the section of the store for non-magic gaming was neat and pricing is displayed, but its like they choose to be lazy when it comes to their magic offering. Without a commitment to improvement and some drastic action to actually be an LGS, I would probably skip this one...

I'm new to Magic The Gathering and the owner gave me a free deck to start and I got to choose which one I liked. He's super nice and non condescending when describing things at your speed.
He has tournaments almost daily for all types of card players from retro to new sets.
The community in the store is great as well. People of all ages and all very friendly.
I only wish he was open 7 days a week not five but I realize the guy has more of a life than I do lol. If card games are your thing, trust me give it a shot. It won't be your last...
Read moreStopped into this new shop the other day. The owner was welcoming and just excited about magic. The shop has a large collection of magic singles and they have prices on par with the American market place - so they are a great deal since we are using Canadian cash. I played a game of commander with two people I hadn't met before that happened to be in the shop and we had some fun slinging spells. The shop is set up to host plenty of players and has a couple retro arcades to enjoy too. Great service, solid atmosphere - i will definitely return for my future magic purchases...
