It's a Covid testing center. It's fine to test for Covid but you feel like being treated like someone infected one must run away from.
Most staff don't look and act in a friendly way (no smile, no polite tone). The whole Covid testing process is not good enough (there are too many steps, you are put in contact with other passengers from other flights!, you are taken to numerous places).
The whole process is about testing you for Covid and explaining you the quarantine process. Here is how it's currently done by HK Gov: numerous hours of waiting. Some people report waiting for 10+ hours in Asia world expo! It's a really bad experience countless steps (i assume there are more than 100 steps) bad experience physically and psychologically RISK OF COVID INFECTION! Paper based, staff touching your papers without gloves, close contact with other pasengers!
Why can't they make the process secured, userfriendly and fast?
Download a mobile app before the flight This mobile app explains the HK covid testing process and quarantine. Very clearly, through text and image - people know what to expect / don't get numerous papers which confuse you Digital signature through mobile app if needed, not paper based. Do saliva testing in the airport into smaller testing units. Use airport runway busses (large and no close contact like in currently used buses). If people need to wait on the spot for result provide a friendly environment. I saw dozens of people sleeping on their tables at asia world expo... no wonder they don't want you to take photos!
All in all i feel more safe in Heathrow than in HK airport even if there are way more people in Heathrow! The difference, HK treats you like an "animal", UK treats you...
Read moreAsiaWorld-Expo itself is a fantastic venue – the concert we went was amazing! However, the experience getting there was an absolute nightmare, especially for one who was driving and going there for the first time .
The signage from the airport was incredibly poor, leading to significant delays. Look towards the direction of SKYCITIES instead cause there is no signage on "Expo" at all until you passed major airport area. With roadworks adding to the confusion. An unexpectedly closed car park (which all the signare lead to) with no warning!!! made things even worse, creating a huge traffic jam and confusion to drivers on the road. Some workers were holding some torches seems to directed traffic but were unhelpful at all as they were just waving without any signage or really meaningful purposes. The signage to the alternative car park at 11 Skies was also confusing and unhelpful. Then there was a ridiculously long walk from the car park to the venue from 11 Skies car park to AWE.
Add at least 40 minutes to your travel time, especially if you're unfamiliar with the area. This poor parking and road management completely overshadowed the excellent concert. Serious improvements are needed to avoid ruining future events...
Read more⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolute perfection at AsiaWorld-Expo!** Attending Taeyeon's concert here was an unforgettable, world-class experience. The venue itself is incredibly impressive – spotlessly clean, ultra-modern, and brilliantly organized, making navigation a breeze despite the large crowd. Its direct connection to the airport is unbeatable for accessibility, especially for international fans. But the true magic was inside the arena: the acoustics were phenomenal, capturing every nuance of Taeyeon's crystal-clear, powerhouse vocals and allowing the live band to shine. The sightlines were excellent from our seats, and the stage production (lighting, screens, effects) was stunning and perfectly complemented her ethereal performance. The atmosphere was electric, fueled by passionate fans and Taeyeon's incredible stage presence and emotional delivery. From the seamless entry to the mind-blowing show itself, AsiaWorld-Expo provided the perfect, professional backdrop for a legendary K-pop artist like Taeyeon. An absolutely flawless concert experience worth every penny – I'd return in...
