We went to use our MTR Mall coupon because otherwise the pricing is too expensive for the quality of food and service. What we didn't know was that The English app has no clause saying that we needed to book 24 hours in advance, which should be a point of empathy from any good manager. I ordered a 2 person set for a family of 4, so if you come with 2 children, a 2 person set will be enough. We added an extra plate of beef though. When ordering a 2 person set, you can also get 2 drinks 50% off.

There is unlimited melon, watermelon, and rice w/pork. You can also get soy sauce for dipping. After a while, they will also give you each a small cup of slushy and a tofu dessert.

The staff are also really nice and the seating areas are quite comfortable and also have pillows. There is a tea store outside the restaurant as well.

But, during peak hours (especially Friday, Saturday and Sunday) you might want to get tickets asap or arrive earlier because it could take up to 2 hours before you can get a spot. So you should also probably get a ticket from a different...

The food is fine, but man, the pots take forever to heat up. They use a glasstop cook surface (not induction) and maybe that's why.

The tofu has a good beany flavor and the coconut chicken soup base is nice. But the only soy sauce they have at the sauce station is sweet soy sauce, which I found too sweet for hotpot.

The ambiance is kinda cool - dark, misty, intimate. They give you a bit of free watermelon at the beginning and a little shot glass of a mango-y slushie at the end.

I'm not blown away, but this is the third or fourth time we've been to a Coucou over the years so we'll probably be back...
