The food stalls on the 2nd floor of Tai Po Wet market is quite a well received eating venue. It has more than 50 active eating outlets, serving a wide varieties of Asian cuisines, of course with Chinese food in particular. You can have Chinese Dim Sum, beef brisket noodle, congee, fry rice, curry dishes etc to choose from. I reckoned that competition is keen so one must serve tasty food in order to survive there. On the ground floor of the market building, it is the wet market which is renowned for offering the biggest choice of fresh sea food in the whole of the New Territories. Another part of the ground floor are the butchers and groceries where fresh beef and pork are sold. The first floor is the vegetable market, provision stores and cold groceries. There is a very unique grocery call Leung Kau Kee梁九記,they sell very high quality value for money chilled , frozen beef and pork. No wonder it is always crowded, sometimes customers may have to que up at entrance and get access as one...

I buy fresh seafood and all groceries from there, since the place is own & run by Hong Kong Government, the market is one of the best if not the best in HongKong, love by all locals, Monday to Friday are pack with locals and peoples from nearby areas, Saturday & Sunday packed with peoples from other area from HongKong. The market have car parks but away full. But the old and traditional shops there are now rare in other areas of HongKong. Food are cheap and tasty, but you should expect long ques sometimes. I should not say anymore as I live nearby for almost forty years, now even tourists from Europe are visiting there, already too much peoples clouding all over the market and...

Seafood on the left, meat on the right, 2nd floor are dried goods, fruit & vegetables. 3rd floor is food court, with an assemby of various cuisines (quality so so, over-priced). Shopping in the wet & dry market is pleasant as the setting is spacious & comfortable. Food varieties are good, but not necessarily cheap as compared to other markets nearby or in other districts. For those who drives there is an underground garage. Public transportation is good but during busy hours the roads are usually quite...
