Fairly new museum that opened a couple years ago in one of the teal green colonial style heritage buildings. This is a memorial dedicated to the live of important 20th century musician Xian Xinghai who was born and lived his early years here in Macau before embarking upon his musical career in mainland China. You can learn his story and important historic notes, achievements and life in the upstairs of the heritage house setup in six or seven different rooms. Entry is free.

冼星海（1905 - 1945）是20世紀中國最傑出的音樂家之一。他的一生，是刻苦學習和勤勉實踐的一生，是努力奮鬥和獻身民族的一生。在短暫的四十年裡，為我們留下大量音樂作品。 他的樂曲對中國命運的深度思考，對民族精神的高度禮讚，對人民團結奮戰的極力呼喚，對人類未來的無限憧憬，在在顯示着一位人民音樂家的愛國情懷、社會擔當、思想境界和人格力量。七十多個寒暑逝去，我們的耳畔還震響着黃河的“怒吼”，心頭還奔湧着黃河的“巨浪”，那“偉大、堅強”的旋律，在“紅日照遍了東方”的新時代，還在“縱情歌唱，縱情歌唱”！ 冼星海與澳門的關係淵源匪淺。他出生在澳門，孕育於鏡海蓮舟一位漁家女的懷抱，帶着澳門母親的溫暖飛向世界。小城賦予他的善良天性和淳樸童真，作為一種美的極致，融入其靈慧神思，以噴珠濺玉般的音符，滙為震古爍今的不朽樂章。 澳門特別行政區政府和廣大市民，十分珍惜與冼星海的因緣際會，將之視為小城的光榮和自豪。建立冼星海紀念館，其命意即在於以此為契機，通過這位音樂家人生道路、精神品格和藝術成就的展示，葆有文化記憶，煥發人文精神，樹立學習榜樣，優化文明生態，推動澳門文化藝術發展。 資料來源：（澳門文化局）
