The latest addition by Fraser in Shenzhen did not disappoint. While the district it is situated in can get busy, the large public park just next door offers an escape from hectic city life. A mall is just across the street, known as 九坊, with shops, a selection of dining, games arcade and an imax cinema. As it is a serviced apartment, designed to cater for longer term tenants, the units are well equipped, and resembles a home more than a hotel. The facilities for this property are top notch, with gym, rooftop pool, bar, dining venues, Golf simulator, movie viewing room recreational room with snooker and fooseball, several osim massage chairs, and indoor children play area. While we did not try all that are available, there are no indication that these facilities can’t be used. The one bedroom apartment we stayed in was spacious, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The only flaws were the sound bar in our room did not work and despite informing staff members about it nothing was done. The room had some tiny nicks and stains here and there, so doesn’t really feel like it’s all brand new, but nothing seriously major. Lastly, when checking in, despite the front desk seeing how much stuff we were carrying, no help was offered to move or even assist with baggage. It was only when I asked to borrow a trolley after check in formalities were completed, that only a feeble attempt at assisting was made. Overall, this has the potential to be a truly remarkable place, but for such a nice property not to provide excellent customer service...
Read moreLoved Fraser Suites before, but disappointed how hotel takes advantage of their guest in crises situation and would not recommend to anyone staying at this hotel.
We stayed at Fraser Suites for just one night, but unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. Due to the typhoon, we were unable to use any of the advertised facilities such as the fitness studio, pool, or café. While it is understandable that safety measures are necessary during severe weather, the café and other areas were already closed well before the typhoon actually hit, which felt premature.
What left the worst impression was the handling of our stay extension. Since the government had issued warnings and it was unsafe to go outside, we had no choice but to remain in the hotel for one more night. Instead of showing goodwill by offering a reduced rate given the circumstances and the lack of available facilities, the hotel charged us an even higher price. There was clearly no increased demand—nobody was leaving or arriving due to the storm—so taking advantage of guests in such a difficult situation felt deeply unfair.
I have never before experienced a hotel using a crisis situation to increase rates and profit from guests who quite literally had no other choice. This left a very negative impression, and I would not recommend Fraser...
Read moreBooked 2 executive suites and everything was excellent. Suites were sparkling clean, spacious, cozy and comfortable and customer service was great too. We enjoyed our stay very much and the location was just perfect. Everything was so convenient and I have to say this is one of the best accommodation that we ever stayed so far. Bear in mind, we have been staying in 5 star hotels around the world and Fraser Suites Shenzhen, although is a serviced apartment, is flawless. If we ever come to Shenzhen again, We will not hesitate to book FSS again! Thanks to the team for their kind hospitality and making our stay so pleasurable!
