I had high expectations, given what I had read about this place and their being awarded "Turkish Restaurant of the Year" several times running. The evening didn't start well.

My friend and I entered, and the only table available was one right next to the door, and next to the area where servers get the baklava. We advised the server who tried to seat us there that we would wait for another table. After about 20 minutes, one of the bigger tables opened up, however after about 10 minutes, we still were not seated. When we questioned the server, they were very reluctant to seat two people at a larger table, even though they would not be open much longer.

Once seated, we placed our order quickly. The food came out in dribs and drabs and in no particular order (the hummus arrived, but no bread, which came out about 5 minutes later; the tea came out 25 minutes after ordering it, even though we had inquired about it twice.

The main dishes did not arrive together, and again only after prompting them for service. My meal obviously had been sitting for quite a few minutes, and calling it "warm" would have been an exaggeration. My friend's meal was hot.

The atmosphere and ambience are not conducive to a pleasant meal or evening. It was very noisy, our server never once stopped at the table to ask if we needed anything or wanted to order anything else. Other than one staff member, the entire staff seemed uninterested in their jobs and the customer.

I have been travelling to many places, and i have never been treated so poorly, i really felt so ashamed. I am celiac and intolerant to lactose, and this place really could prepare me food because they had Tortilla de Patatas, (spanish omelette, i am Spanish), and they even had sunflower oil, which i can also eat, i was with 4 more friends, and when i asked him if he could make the potatoes apart in another pan, he just denied, because the kitchen is busy, at that time there were only 3 tables.. having dinner, and i said i could wait,. He started to talk to me so rude, because he was not trying to help me, i was asking about other dishes, and when i saw his bad attitude, i just said , ok, no problem i dont eat here. And I went outside to buy other food, and obviouslly my friends were eating so i needed to eat my own food WITH my friends because they did not want to cook for me. And the waiters told me i could not eat different food from outside, so i needed to go. WHat he hell? what should i do,? do i eat ALONE IN THE OTHER PLACE? because this guy was having a really bad day? SO I am sorry, i have this disease for 8 years, i have travelled many many places and i have never been treated so bad,,,,, And by the way, I am living in SHenzhen for 1 year, and NO SINGLE chinese restaurant ever put any problem to cook the food as i can eat.. and even cook with my OWN OIL(they did it tonight again in a chinese restaurant) because i am allergic to peanuts and I always BRING WITH ME sunflower or Olive oil, because i Can die.
