Hyatt Place Shenzhen Dongmen — Attraction in Shenzhen

I recently stayed at Hyatt Place Shenzhen Dongmen from July 8 to July 12, 2024, and I had a fantastic experience. The hotel is situated in an excellent location, surrounded by plenty of dining options and a mall just a short walk away, making it very convenient for both business and leisure activities. The cleanliness of the hotel was impressive; my room was spotless, and the entire property maintained high standards throughout my stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with any requests, which made me feel welcomed. The facilities were top-notch, with my room equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Additionally, the breakfast offered a delightful variety of options to start the day right. This is our second stay at Hyatt Place Dongmen, but the experience was not as good as our first time. First, we were originally assigned a high-floor room on the 15th floor, but there was a puddle of water near the bathroom, clearly from a leaking air conditioner. Luckily, we found it before slipping. Secondly, this time we were given a room ending in 07, which was smaller than the 01 room. The first room (1507) made us feel uncomfortable as soon as we entered, and due to the leak, we were  moved to 907, which felt a bit better, but I was disappointed not to get a 01 room. The service at check-in was just okay and could be improved. The breakfast was still the same—there were no labels indicating what each dish was.It’s clear that the room maintenance and repairs aren’t up to standard. Very convenient location and value for money business hotel at international standard. No frills but good quality breakfast, efficient check-in and checkout services, most importantly strong shower and comfortable bed and clean bedding.

Only two subway stations after crossing the border from HK and 10 steps away from the “H” exit of Lao Jie Station, located right next to one of the hippest and oldest night streets in Shenzhen with a mix of modern shopping malls and local shops.

One can also catch up with the latest national and international movies at a upscale cinema in one of the major shopping centers nearby with clusters of Japanese, Korean spectacle shops and probably Chinese competitive brands while the higher floors were full of local and Asian cuisines, including a famous HK publicly-listed “tea...
