Stayed at this hotel on August 12th to 13th. The location is great, you can do anything here. There’s grocery stores, shopping stores, pets, nails, hair, anything you could imagine. BUT. The room I stayed in. It was terrible, absolutely horrific. I stayed in room 604, and I was horrified to see what was under the beds, and on the floors. When you first enter your hotel room, you’ll notice a bad smell like dust. Why? Because the cleaners here, NEVER vacuum the floor. (They even admitted it) I’m a native Chinese speaker, who lives in HongKong, but I wanted to go over to ShenZhen for awhile, but not very memorable. The walls here are not sound proof, and I can hear everything from the rooms next to mine and nearby. I can hear every word in a conversation, and that’s not good. There’s a karaoke next to this hotel, and it’s terribly loud. There’s bugs, EVERYWHERE. In the toilets, in the shower ceilings, on the floor, and probably on your beds. There’s dust EVERYWHERE. You can visibly see the disgustingness of this hotel. There’s stains on the walls, and all over the floors. They don’t wipe down the counters, and re use toilet paper to give to others. (When i first came in, used toilet paper was given to me.) that’s okay though, what really bothered me WAS WHAT WAS UNDER THE BED. I look under the bed, of the left bed and oh my I almost threw up. I see a bunch of crippled and wrinkled USED paper tissues, with YELLOW things on it. (don’t wanna know what it was) It was disgusting, and was a huge amount. There was also pieces of hair, and toenails around the whole room. I see cigarette packs under the BEDS, and takeout containers under there. I feel disgusted, and take a look at the other bed. EVEN WORSE, PILES AND PILES OF TISSUES AND RUBBISH. (It looked like the rooms trash can was thrown under there) I’m telling you, stay away from this hotel. THERES NO INCLUDED BREAKFAST HERE! I did what any other normal person would, and complain to someone. I GO TO A WORKER AT THIS HOTEL, AND TOLD THEM WHAY HAPPENED. They just stood there, and laughed at me. I asked the people at the front desk, AND a a manager. They told me if I was so disturbed by it I should clean it myself. I WAS SO FURIOUS. Not sure what I should do. Also, the charging plugs here don’t work. Only the one near the desk, and the wifi plug. That’s it, none other works. The wifi here sucks, it’s better to use Data than the wifi here. It’s basically useless, and I cannot with the workers here. I have proof of everything....
Read moreStayed here in December 2023, check-in was a little unpleasant cos we were assigned a room with 2 single-sized beds even though we made a reservation via Agoda for 3 adults.
We double checked our booking to see it did state “2 single beds” but in our defence it also clearly stated “3 guests”. Hotel staff was no help by just insisting the room fits 3, although the manager handled the situation just a little better by acknowledging the discrepancy. We contacted Agoda via call to see what can be done but it was a waste of time and effort - they called the hotel and the hotel just parroted the same thing.
Seeing there was really no other solution, we eventually paid additional CNY100 per night for a room that had 2 double-sized beds. It’s not a big deal, and the room was already cheap to begin with (probably I was being too cheapo 😂). We were also not compensated in any form but we’re just surprised this mistake could happen - I mean, we did correctly select the number of guests when we booked.
We expected perhaps the hotel’s listing on Agoda would be updated to more accurately reflect the room capacity but it has been several months now and I just checked no corrective action has been taken. Perhaps there are just not many bookings made in groups of three so it doesn’t matter 🤷🏻♀️
Location is really convenient though, a very short distance away from Laojie subway station exit E and Dongmen shopping area. Hotel amenities were...
Read morethe hotel is well located, surrounded by shopping complex and street food that open until midnight. The hotel and the room were clean. The staff were friendly. But we had a bad experience with the Massage/Spa service that located on the 6th floor. For 1 hour foot massage it cost 48 yuan, and it was compulsory to give tips money to the therapist minimum 30 yuan ( the tips was more than a half of the service cost!). My therapist was very talkative even though we have a communication barrier. He played with his mobile phone while massaging me with one hand. He tried to make some jokes which I couldn't really understand. After I finished the service, he wanted me to give the tips directly to him instead of paying to the cashier. So I gave him 30 yuan as it stated earlier. He insisted me to give more tips to him. I said I don't have anymore. He wanted me to give him 10 yuan more at least. I said I don't have 10 yuan. Then he just left me with grumpy face. On the cashier, I wanted to pay for the service. For the hotel guest, there was a 12% discount. But when the cashier gave me the receipt, he did not mention the discount. After I told him again that I am a hotel guest and I entitled for a 12% discount, then he just gave me the discounted rate. So you have to really careful when you want to do the massage there. Where for me, I will never go back to do the massage...
