Cora 127 Plenitud — Attraction in Bogota, Capital District

I and my wife stayed at the Cora 127 Plenitud Hotel in Bogota, Colombia for five nights from July 28 to August 2, 2016. This hotel shares the same building with Estelar La Fontana, Estelar Apartamentos, and Travelers Condominio. It has an office rather than a hotel lobby which can be accessed by any of the several elevators from the underground parking lot. There is also an entrance from the street to the first floor of the hotel where the hotel office is located.|| The transfer from the airport to the hotel was arranged by the hotel office for COP 50,000 (about US $17) per vehicle, which was paid directly to the driver upon arrival at the hotel at 9:30 PM. The driver helped us with our luggage to the hotel office for check in. We had to leave copies of our US passports, and a copy of my credit card although I had prepaid in full in advance for our five night stay. The driver again helped us with our luggage to apartment 558 on the fifth floor.|| Apartment 558 is spacious (484 sq. ft) and has a kitchenette with an electric stovetop and refrigerator, but the furniture is very old. There was no microwave or coffee maker when we arrived, but when we asked for these two items the next morning, these two appliances were promptly sent to our apartment.|| The staff of this hotel were extremely nice and helpful. They arranged a taxi for us for sightseeing in Bogota for COP 20,000 (about US $7) per hour. The transfer from the hotel to the airport, if arranged by the hotel, costs COP 35,000 (about US $12) per car.|| Breakfast is sent to your apartment at the time you specify, and consists of hot coffee or hot chocolate, orange juice, toast, and fruit (papaya and pineapple). An unlimited buffet breakfast is not included in the room rate. The room rate does include parking, daily housekeeping except Sunday, and very good WIFI.|| The hotel is in a very safe location with a Unicentro mall across the street which has an Exito supermarket, restaurants, currency exchange, and all kinds of retail stores. There is a Carulla grocery store less than one block away. The hotel is about 5 km (about 3 miles) from the Usaquen train station. This proximity of the Usaquen train station to the Cora 127 Plenitud Hotel was very convenient for us because we traveled on a special train for tourists, the Tren Touristico de la Sabana, from the Usaquen train station to Zipaquira, located about 30 miles north of Bogota to see the awesome Salt Cathedral which lies 200 meters (about 220 yards) underground in a salt mine. The round trip fare on the train was COP 5,200 (about US $2) per person, and the entrance fee to the Salt Cathedral was COP 35,000 (about US $12) per person. || We enjoyed our stay at the Cora 127 Plenitud, and next time if we stay at this hotel again, we will reserve a VIP apartment. Ottimo residence a Bogotà. Frequentato (sopratutto) da stranieri ma anche da colombiani (evidentemente benestanti...).||Esattamente di fronte c'è un grosso centro commerciale con tanti ristoranti, negozi, banche, buon supermercato Exito, cinema, ecc.ecc. ||Al supermercato Exito (con ottimi prodotti gastronomici sia locali -frutta e carne eccezionali - sia "europei" veramente per tutti i gusti).||Su richiesta ti portano la spesa direttamente col carrello fin nella camera del residence! E' gratis anche se una mancia al ragazzo/ragazza appare veramente dovuto vista la disponibilità e cortesia.||La posizione è buona vicino a bei parchi verdi e ampi.||Il residence ha un piccolo parco giochi per bambini e un giardino interno ben protetto.||il servizio alla reception del CORA Residence è di buon livello. il servizio di sicurezza è molto presente (ad ogni accesso ci sono efficienti uomini della Security).||Di fronte al residence (ma non nel centro commerciale) ci sono altri ristorantini più semplici e frequentati da Colombiani dove si spende veramente poco, una ottima lavanderia che lava alla metà del prezzo del servizio interno del residence...||Sempre di fronte al residence ci sono fermate di Corriere/bus ed altri mezzi pubblici per ogni destinazione. I taxi abbondano e si possono comunque fermare "al volo" senza problemi perché ne passano in continuazione (taxi gialli).||All'interno del residence alla domenica e alle feste comandate viene organizzato un mercato con bancarelle e bei prodotti locali abbigliamento, alimentari, oggettistica, ecc. Si svolge nel cortile interno e viene suonata musica tradizionale e si balla o semplicemente si assiste bevendo qualcosa servito ai tavolini all'aperto. vengono anche organizzate attività tipo esibizione giocolieri, animazione e giochi per bambini. Bello!||All'interno del cortile del residence c'è anche una piccola cappella dove abbiamo assistito a matrimoni (infatti c'è anche un bel ristorante dove si festeggiano ricorrenze, matrimoni, ecc.).||Nel residence ci sono anche qua e là divanetti e tavolini dove potersi fermare per parlare sia all'aperto che nei vari corridoi: La struttura è un vero labirinto diviso in sezioni (Nord, sud...) Si tratta di una struttura grande anche se la presenza di appartamentini la rende sempre abbastanza famigliare e non troppo impersonale.||Gli appartamenti della CORA Immobilaria (ne abbiamo avuti diversi su più periodi) sono accoglienti, moderni, ben arredati e funzionali (cucinotto perfettamente equipaggiato: forno microonde, attrezzatura da cucina completa, frigo grande, ecc.) bagni con doccia moderni e sempre pulitissimi. Bene infatti il servizio quotidiano di pulizia che dimostra un ottimo livello. Tv con schermo gigante appese al muro. Camere da letto + bagno + salotto con tavolo da pranzo + cucinotto che si affaccia sulla sala da pranzo. Bei finestroni giganti (che nelle nostre esperienze davano sul cortile interno).||Fiori freschi e accurato servizio in camera per ogni bisogno.||Noi abbiamo avuto un'ottima esperienza assolutamente da consigliare: appartamenti presso il Plenitud della CORA Immobilaria (esistono, credo, anche altri gestori all'interno...

Stayed a this place while attending a business meeting in Bogotá. This is part of a larger complex including a hotel proper and some private-owned condos. |Even the smaller units are huge 1 bedroom apartments fully furnished with a lot of amenities you rarely find in a long stay place. |Overall, the value payed for the stay is great. Special mention to the daily breakfast served in your room. Service is excellent and the place is very secure and calm. |Three things that can be improved. First, some of the elements of the unit look aged, specially closets and bathroom cabinets. Second, the bed is comfortable but the pillows are very bland and there are no additional pillows available in the room.
