This is a lovely place to explore. It is beautiful with multiple decorations around the paths from the train station past statues of the stations of the cross and up to the monastery. There are also lovely views of Bogota below.
We took the train up, then walked the trail down. The tram was not active when we visited. The train is not a traditional train - it climbs the mountain side at a steep angle. It has large windows in the ceiling to easily see the natural beauty around you.

Monserrate es un lugar increíble. Cuando llegas a la cima, la vista es simplemente impresionante. Puedes ver toda Bogotá desde arriba, y es especialmente hermosa al atardecer.
Llegar allí es bastante fácil: puedes tomar un teleférico, que es muy conveniente, o si te sientes aventurero, hay un sendero para caminar. La caminata puede ser un poco desafiante, pero el esfuerzo realmente vale la pena.
