Sendero is a great way to see the Monseratte and other views of Bogota! The trail is open to hike up from 5am-1pm and to hike down closes at 4pm. I would highly recommend hiking between 6-8:30am M-F, and if possible avoid the weekend. Weekends are filled with people and makes it a bit hard to walk because families and couples hold hands and take up the entire walk way and do not move for people climbing with intention lolllll. Read moreThis hike is no joke. It is entirely uphill a with many steps to go up. If you are not seasoned when it comes to hiking or do not have good conditioning then I do not recommend doing this hike. It would probably be better to take the cable car up lol.
On the way up there are many people selling food and drinks. There was also a ton of people when I went but that may have been because I went on a weekend and it was around 10 am. I guess a lot of other people had the same idea...
