The location of the office on Google is correct - when you get to the yellow/green house with horses painted on the wall, knock, and someone will open the door for you (that's if it's not open - it's not that obvious but there is a poster of the cave on the wall.) We booked the day before - the lady speaks some English, you can get by. The tour is $65000 for 4 or fewer, $55000 for 5+ people. You need your passport number for the insurance. The trip takes 4-5 hours. You leave around 9a.m and go in a jeep for about 40 mins up high - very bumpy road with great views. You then walk about 30 mins gentle up hill and have drinks & snacks at a local farm - very yummy (and they even provided vegetarian option!) Next, you access the cave via the footpath - again about 30 mins walk down quite a steep path. You then return by a slightly different route, have a drink, then return by jeep. You are provided with water and snacks for the walk - very well fed! The walk itself isn't too strenuous if you're relatively fit - we we were expecting much longer. Guide was a lovely lady named Maria. The cave is cool but not the most impressive waterfall we've seen, but all in all,...
Read moreWe enjoyed this very much! The jeep ride was exciting - quite a skilled driver, and the snacks at the farm on top were good. The hike down to the waterfall was a little challenging for me (64 yrs old - avid hiker), but we were well-warned about the skills needed. It was quite slippery and steep, with loose rocks and uneven terrain. About halfway down there are good cables provided for handholds which was hugely helpful! I was also grateful to have my hiking poles for stability (the tour company should recommend this for those who are comfortable using them). The falls are truly spectacular and we felt it was worth the price of 70,000 COP, which included the jeep ride, a short walk to the "farm", nice snacks, entry fee (20,000 COP), and a guide to the falls. The guide doesn't really do much or give much information, but he did stay with our group for the whole time (and opened the locked gates). All in all, a really fun way to spend 4.5 hours in...
Read moreMy partner and I visited this Tourism Agency last August 11, 2025, as part of our travel vacation to Medellin. Our principal interest was to assist El Festival de la Flores, but we took the opportunity to visit one of the most beautiful towns in Antioquia, El Jardin. We planned an excursion to the Cave of Splendor with this agency. Our guide, Paula, was excellent. The first part of the tour is approximately 11 km by jeep for 40 minutes. We then begin a 1 km hike (20 minutes) and arrive at a small house where we are offered refreshments before beginning a 500-meter descent along a trail that crosses a native forest with steep slopes. We cross the river and then arrive at the cave! Spectacular! Those who wish can take a dip or explore the reserve;...
