Saw lots of these colorful birds carrying on, dancing and making a ptoper ruckus. We got there shortly after it opened and stayed several hours. Lots of people arrived later, and it got VERY crowded by 5ish. Like really couldn't get front row for pictures crowded, so come early.
There are alternate trails to stroll on the property, but the birds congregated on branches between the house and the river.
Cost about $4USD/pp. We will likely go again.
Tip: after walking down Calle9 towards the river, take the street that goes off to the right, just in front of the small street-side cafe (the one immediately before the bridge.) You'll see the large entry gate in about 2 minutes of downhill walking.

Read moreThis was an unbelievable place! So many beautiful birds to observe! The main, which is the Andean Rock of the Cock, but there were many other birds that decided to pay a visit. The owner seems to love what she does and she pointed some of these birds to me. The grounds are beautiful with lots of plants and flowers. You can sit in a cabana and just watch these birds! Right before the bridge, turn right down a street past horse stable and plenty of colorful wildflowers until you arrive at the entrance. You may wait a minute or so for the owner to come greet you but don’t...

There is a little waking up and down a hill to get here so if you are disabled be aware of this dirt road you must embark upon.
Parking is not real close but you can park on some side streets for free and then take...
