If this place opened in Medellin not only would it be forever packed but it would shut down every pizza and pasta joint here for good! Amazing atmosphere (all the more reason to keep the older buildings instead of constantly building new ones on their carcasses) gives you that European feeling right in the middle of Colombian nature. Well-informed, attentive, and professional staff make you feel welcome and taken care of. Food....oh my....the food....the pizza is absolutely phenomenal, handmade in front of you, authentic, and just plain slap-yo-mama delicious! Freshly made pasta will make you choke on your next Barilla noodle. And the sauce just brings it home. The house salad (not on the menu so ask) was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of salt and perfect-grade olive oil. Literally, the only downside was the dessert (tiramisu too sweet and pannacotta too jelly-like). But I'm honestly kinda glad because if they nailed tiramisu, I would be catching myself having to move to Jardin permanently. As it stands, 1,000% worth the 6hr round-trip on the bus from Medellin over the weekend to destroy that pizza and pasta craving. PS: they do not serve coffee so BYOC or grab your dessert to go and head on over to Macana's in the plaza, which is what we did PPS: we found the price to be amazing also! 1 large pizza, 1 fettuccine bolognese, 1 house salad, 2 Perronis, 1 turamisu and 1 pannacotta...
Read moreFour of us arrived on a Thursday evening at 6:30pm during a vacation week. Ordered lasagna from menu and was told they didn't have any. He said they just sold the last portion... An Italian restaurant runs out of lasagna at 6:30 pm... NOT acceptable! Also ordered two pizzas, one Hawaiiana and one Formaggi (mozzarella, parmesan and gorgonzola). The "gorgonzola" cheese was NOT gorgonzola, it was beyond any doubt blue cheese (the difference is that blue cheese is a very pungent/strong flavored cheese and gorgonzola is much much milder). The strong blue cheese flavor was overwhelming. Both pizzas were undercooked on the bottom (see attached photo). Others in our party ordered pasta carbonara. Both said it was unlike any pasta carbonara they've ever had and that it was a very bland flavor. Service, as almost always in Colombia, was very poor. It was over fifteen minutes after we sat down before the waiter came to our table and that was only because I had to flag him down. We ordered drinks and food and i asked that he bring the drinks before our food.. It was in excess of ten minutes more before our simple drinks arrived.. a coke and three lemonades. Not the best food, not the best service is the reason for the...
Read moreI went to this place twice and was disappointed both times. The pizza itself is really good but the service is a shame! I ordered a mango juice with water. Half a hour later my friends got their drinks and I was been asked again if i want my juice with milk or water and I answered clearly I want it with water. 15min later it came.. of course with milk.. I took it easy but mentioned it because I can't drink raw milk. The chief was extremely unfriendly and claimed that I ordered it wrong and it would have been my own fault. We couldn't take that seriously; my friends all heard what I said. But it wasn't the only thing. One friend ordered pasta and it came first. But between her meal and our pizza were long 40min. This is a no go!! If you wanna have a good time I absolutely dissuade from that place. Both times I've been there the staff was really unfriendly and there's always been something wrong. Never will I come back to this place (sorry for...
