A sudden, nostalgic craving for a chicken and mushroom pizza led me to Google Maps in the charming town of Jardín, Antioquia.
At the top of the search results, Mambru appeared—a name that immediately brought back a flood of fond childhood memories, a sign I knew I had to follow.
Upon arrival, I was immediately enchanted by the place. The restaurant is an expansive space with beautiful decorations that feel both cozy and elegant. The real highlight, however, is the hidden garden in the back, a tranquil spot that invites you to relax and stay a while.
I was warmly greeted by Marlon, who proved to be an exceptional guide through the menu. He was incredibly helpful in navigating my indecision between a hamburger and one of their renowned pizzas, both house recommendations. When he explained that Mambru is famous for its pizzas, I decided to trust his expertise. I chose their Tepeye pizza: a divine combination of pesto, bacon, parmigiano, balsamic reduction, and cream cheese.
Every single bite was a perfect symphony of flavours—comforting, creamy, fresh, and a beautiful balance of sweet and savory notes. The dough was absolutely perfect, and the generous portion was so large it provided a delicious snack for the next day. To complement the meal, I tried a house-made lulo and ginger soda, a true fusion that was all I hoped for and more.
Mambru is a hidden gem, and Marlon's hospitality made the experience even more memorable. I highly recommend this place and look forward to my next visit to Jardín, a town that truly deserves multiple explorations in this lifetime, starting with another trip back to Mambru to try the rest...
Read moreThe "Vegetariano" sign outside caught my eye as I was passing by. So glad my group agreed to head to this place for an afternoon dinner before heading to the bird sanctuary.
The courtyard dining area is gorgeous. I spent a lot of time photographing the creative landscaping design.
Servers were sweet and helpful. I got a lovely bowl of black beans, rice, mixed greens, baby potatoes, avocado, walnuts, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes with a slurpalicious mango dressing.
My drink was likewise wonderful, Soda de Carambolo: a juice with mineral water, ginger and yellow fruits. I used a spoon to get the last bits of deliciousness out.
Looking forward to my next trip to Jardin to come here not only for the great dish, but the atmosphere. A place you could spend an afternoon enjoying, including the live entertainment. 💚

Read moreVery nice restaurant with a great atmosphere! The inside of the restaurant is very pretty and lots of areas for you to take photos. Friendly staff and good music. I’m vegan so I ordered the Vegetarian Gratin Casserole. Make sure to ask for it WITHOUT cheese. It’s a mix of mushrooms, beans, corn, salad greens, rice and pineapple. Served with mini arepas and guacamole. I used the guacamole as a sauce for the veggies and the arepas as “taco shells”. It was all so delicious. I ordered their Lychee Margarita and was happy that they have that option because I love lychee. My family members all loved their food and drinks as well. It was a great place for lunch. I highly recommend...
