DO NOT GO HERE!
The space itself is pretty inside, but calling it a “museum” is a huge stretch. Basically, you scan QR codes to get info about items on display—nothing you couldn’t Google in two seconds. The staff weren’t exactly rude, but definitely not warm or welcoming either. My dad tried making a lighthearted joke to one of the employees and got a really nasty look in return. Also who needs a police body guard kind of guy at a fake museum…
We still decided to buy quite a bit of chocolate as gifts for family and friends, thinking at least the chocolate would be good. Unfortunately, it was the complete opposite. The coco-coconut bar tasted spoiled and was rock hard, sticking to the roof of my mouth like those old dollar store gold coin chocolates that have been sitting around for years. My sister’s mint bar was even worse—it literally tasted like toothpaste.
The biggest red flag? While checking out, I actually saw one of the employees making “chocolate bars”… using chocolate melts, like the ones from the craft store. That explained a lot.
It was a hot day, so we rushed the bars back to our hotel fridge. After a few hours of being in the fridge, every single one turned white and looked spoiled. We had bought a variety of them as gifts, but in the end, we threw them all away. I wouldn’t feel comfortable giving something that bad (and possibly unsafe) to anyone.
Bottom line: This is not a museum. It’s a tourist trap. The chocolate is low-quality and inedible, and the whole experience is disappointing. PLEASE do not waste...

If you really love chocolate you can fill up one of the baskets they give you. They were cool. Great place to take a few pictures. There is even a piano and a cool chair for your princess to sit in.
The chocolate is made directly on site so it's neat to watch some of the machines in action. I couldn't resist buying a chocolate beer because when else would you get one like that! But it was alright and not as good as I thought. 7.5 out of 10. All the chocolate I tried was delicious! In several shapes, colours and sizes.
Can't wait to come again when I'm in Cartegena.

Read moreOk wait for a second before you go in! Very nice decor, very nice presentation, but the chocolate is not even average. It was BAD! I had one bite and it is still stick in my mouth and let me tell you it is not what you should experience after eating an "Artisenal" chocolate. Someone called it a tourist trap and I can't agree more. Why Colombia with the best chocolate fruits should produce these? Now any tourist going back home thinks that Colombian chocolate is not good. It is good but not from this store.
A huge red flag: it does not have the list of ingredients. It seems based on the previous reviews that they used to have it but get rid of it (it contains soy lecithin). This is not good. Transparency is a must with any...
