We took a short cut up from Avenida 33. After crossing the road (the bridge is no longer in operation), we needed to step up onto a small wall, then pass through a permanent gap in a barbed wire fence to join a brick path. It was much quicker than walking up the road from the south. We then stopped here with our two kids (7 and 10) as we walked up the hill. They had great fun zooming down the slides. There was a big group of locals having a picnic on the picnic tables and playing bingo which created a lively, fun atmosphere. A policeman was on the site so it felt safe and welcoming. A great stop on the walk up to Plaza de Botoro.
