Kamerlengo is an example of a fortress built by Venice outside the city center, serving as the administrative center for Venetian authority. Kamerlengo is such a fortress in Trogir, located at the end of Trogir's waterfront and built in the 15th century. Unfortunately, the internal residential spaces no longer exist. Today, only the outer wall of the fortress and two towers remain, offering a magnificent view of Trogir and its surroundings when you climb the walkway that runs along the wall. You will need about half an hour for your visit. Make sure to visit as part of your stay in Trogir!

Kamerlengo Castle (Croatian: Kaštel Kamerlengo) Trogir. Το κάστρο χτίστηκε κατά την περίοδο της ενετική κατοχής του Trogir στα μέσα του 15ου αιώνα, μεταξύ 1420 και 1437 ως μέρος μιας επέκτασης του Πύργου Veriga, του πρώτου κτίσματος στην περιοχή και ήταν κάποτε συνδεδεμένο με τα τείχη της πόλης. Σε στρατηγική τοποθεσία κατά μήκος της ακτής, το φρούριο κατασκευάστηκε για αμυντικούς λόγους, κλείνοντας το νοτιοδυτικό τμήμα της πόλης, χρησιμοποιώντας τους ήδη υπάρχοντες πύργους και τείχη. Small but it has a nice view , it's a shame that there is a football terrain directly next to it but overal it's nice. There is one television that shows some information on when it was build and who designed it but this could also be more detailed and with english subtitles instead of german subtitles. Further ticket price for an adult is 25 kuna. We came on a rainy day so I think with a sunny day we would've liked it more so I compensate in the rating.

The town of Trogir is just a picture postcard town - beauty everywhere. There is a cafe right next to the castle where we had Karlovacko beer 🍻 - not sure if the beer was good or the whole vibe but it was one of the best beers we had in a while. We did a quick day trip from Split where we had disembarked during our cruise. Highly recommend visiting Trogir if you are in the area. Next time I plan to stay a few days and enjoy the beauty of this town
