Đovani Gelateria and Pasticceria — Restaurant in Grad Trogir

Crowded, with smokers in your face, the place gives itself off as an artistic classy gelateria, with reasonably priced sundaes, however deplorable their main attribute is misadvertisment. The menu has no clear elaboration on what the dishes actually contain and with a lack of clarity you have to rely on the images they provide which, for my sundae, and many of the others were different from the dish we were given. Banana cup? More like berries, vanilla, cream and a few cuts of banana. On top of that, some other sundaes were more cream than ice cream! Cute place, especially the part with a few tables outside in the atrium area.👌 I would love to try everything, especially ice cream flavors, they looked really awesome. But I choose a pistachio cake and do not regret it. I’m obsessed with pistachio dessert since my trip to Sicily. 🙈 The cake was very dense, creamy and the chocolate around had a nutty/Nutella flavor. Very nice place to stay and have nice pastry when visiting Trogir, very close to the Center of the old town. I recommend trying out the Rafioli, which is a local pastry filled with nuts. They have also many other delicious looking pastries and desserts. Unfortunately, as I was on a short stop during the tour from Split I didn’t have much time to spend there, but I’ve taken one of each type of Rafioli they make with me and was not disappointed.
