The starters, which were ceviche and tuna sashimi as well as amuse bouche which was served as a compliment, were just perfection. We were also served home made delicious bread with olive oil butter. The dessert was amazing too - all the textures were forming a great dish and the taste was there.
The negatives were our main dishes, I had orzotto which was very nice within first 3-4 spoons and then it was just way too overpowering so I didn’t finish it. My husband took the dish which had monkfish, octopus and scallops, and for me it was quite a letdown, since all of the seafoods didn’t have any texture - it was comparable with soaked toilet paper like it was marinated for too long. In general these two dishes were disappointing:(
The service was really perfect. Our waitress was very attentive and nice, she explained everything about the dishes. Everything was cooked very fast.
We were a little bit surprised that after we had slight complaints about the main, coffee was not removed from our bill. Of course it is not a must, but when your bill is already 150+ eur for two and two of the dishes which are 30+ eur were not finished, it would be definitely a nice gesture.
The atmosphere was pleasant, like you stay in some medieval garden. But - there is no air conditioner, only ventilator, which I think is not the best for the restaurant that level. It was quite hot.
All in all, I had a very nice experience and would love to come back again. It’s the right place for a special occasion since it is really fine dining. Fixing small things would make this place...
Read moreFabulous Michelin starred restaurant at least as of 2021 located in a beautiful old small courtyard with grape vines shade. It has maybe room for 30 to 40 people in the garden area so make a reservation unless you want to eat early or perhaps out of season. Service is impeccable with personable friendly staff but the real attraction is the food, especially the starters. I went two nights in a row so I tried a number of dishes. The seafood platter starter is spectacular but don't expect a heaping portion of food. This is simply great food and the portion is small but stunningly delicious. Especially loved the cuttlefish tagliatelli which in reality is thin slices of cuttlefish. The octopus has a delightful hint of heat in the sauce, just a tempting accent. My beef cheek dish on night 1 was delicious but I suspect it would have been better later in the evening once some of the collagen had broken down. Again, my bad for not booking ahead when they will be at their best. Finally the wine. A good selection of wines by the glass at around 50 kuna per but nothing particularly exciting. I would recommend the Prosip for white wine. Of course if you want to splurge you can spend 3650 kuna for a 1982 Bordeaux from Ducru or Cos...
Read moreThe restaurant lived up to its Michelin reputation. The staff were courteous, knowledgeable and exuded a reserved yet friendly vibe. To begin we brought our toddler and had called earlier to see if they had any child friendly food which they didn’t. No problem, that’s why we called. So we brought our toddler’s favorite pasta and staff were happy to warm. For bonus, we were able to get kiddo to eat some of TRS’ seasonal salad (plain, no dressing). With iPad connected to their WiFi. All in all, a contented toddler! For the four adults- Ordered white wine and the carpaccio for starters. The waiter shaved the truffle onto the carpaccio table-side. Both were perfect! Main dishes - ordered a bottle of red and the following dishes- lamb, lobster pasta, monkfish, and sea bass. We were all in agreement that each of the dishes were executed flawlessly. A standout for all the entrees were the sides. Not only was the main item, be it lamb or fish, done masterfully but the sides were a creative and an exceptionally tasty boon. The panna cotta and peach teramisu were no different! Shared and devoured ☑️ A well constructed and delivered meal - kudos! Looking forward to...
