Hotel Trogir — Hotel in Grad Trogir

It all started when we, a party of four got a table to eat dinner. I get that it was fullt seated, i also get that sometimes waiters forget to place an order with the kitchen. However, the trouble started when we ordered food and drinks.

It took 20 minutes to get our drinks and NO BREAD which all the other tables got with theirs (even though they were four waiters and two extras in the bar preparing drinks) that is, three beers and one glass of wine. After another 25 minutes and no sign of food we got hold of a waiter to ask (still in calm and pleasant manner) how it was going with our food and how long we could expect to wait. The answer we got (or rather the tone of it) was a small laughter (suggesting we were stupid) and then he told us: can't you see that we have a lot of people here but it is prepping. We had to wait another 20 minutes for our food. All well an done if this was the end of it.

But alas, the shrimp were on the verge of being raw (which we pointed out) by saying that the food was good but we thought the shrimp a bit raw. (The chicken were a bit dry as well to be honest). The waiter then went and fetched a fork ate a shrimp told us no it was not (and yet again declared us stupid and ignorant customers)

After we had ate we wanted nothing more than to pay, leave and never return. It took them 6 minutes to get our check (even though it was very calm and few parties currently eating at their restaurant) and that was when we realised that they had forgotten to deliver our sallad which we ordered in the begining. However, it was still in the check. Thankfully we saw that and talked to the waiter and he scratched it.

This night was just a bunch of dissapointment. The feeling of beeing forgotten by the restaurants, horrible service from the waiters. Awfully long time to get our food and overall not very good food or borderline not done. I would never recomend going to this restaurant as this experience was just laughable...

Short story: unprofessional, the food took a really long time, the food was either raw or dry, no communication to us guests and the waiters were rude.

Long story: 17-20 tables, 4 waiters. Can't take that long right? Waited 20 min for drinks even though two people were working in the bar. 40 min in, we asked nicely about how it's going with the food. "Waiter 1" laughed and said: "look around, it's a lot of people", with a smug face. We asked for bread (which should come directly), that took 10 minutes. The sidesalad that we orderd never came. The food came after a total of 60 minutes. They did not inform us about delays or checked with us at any time (if we didn't wave them down for a long time). They didn't check with us if the food was good, (I got raw shrimp).. we couldn't get a hold of them so I kept eating the pasta and the sauce and left the shrimp to the side. We did wait for over an hour for the food, we were starving.. (My friends got extremly dry turkey, dry "mixed grill" and raw shrimp as well.) When "waiter 2" collected the plates I said: "I think the shrimp was raw, but the pasta and the sauce was really good". I didn't want anything in return but this is what happened: the waitor got silent, grabbed a fork, came back and ate a shrimp from my plate. "To me, it's fine". Okey I said, with a surprised face, waiting for him to maybe excuse the restaurant lacking in service or communication.. Something! He just left with the plates and looked mad. We wanted to pay and leave but "waiter 1" was no where to be seen. We tried to wave down "waiter 2" but he just shook his head and ignored us. After 10 minutes we got a hold of "waiter 1",and got our receipt. They wanted us to pay for the sidesalad we didn't get. We walked over to "waiter 1", gave the exact amount (minus the salad) and left. P.S when we spoke croatian, they were nicer. Maybe they hate tourists since we don't come back again. They don't...

I was at the restaurant here and the service was horrible. At the start the waiter took the cap from the sparkling water, which shouldn't have happened. We waited for the food 1 hour. We ordered very basic meals, two salads, two squid dishes, spaghetti carbonara and mixed meat dish. All the people were finished with their meal while we were waiting. The utensils (knife) was not clean, poor hygiene. Eventually our food came. I did not get grilled vegetables with my meal while my friend ordered the same thing and had them, my meal was wrongly prepared. The mixed meat meal was disgusting, the meat was too salty and we werent able to eat the whole thing from the poor quality.
