Although the restaurant is not located in an ideal place, if you want an enchanting view, it also has advantages: you can park in front of the door. It turned out to be a winning combination for us because, right after dessert, a storm started. Also (if you have time) the old core of Trogir and the promenade by the sea is nearby. The interior is thoughtfully designed, a well-integrated extension of the space - the impression of the whole. The glass walls are also very well designed, i.e. a possible problem of a large amount of sunlight. The careful decoration of the tables is also visible. The menu is not large, but there is something for all desires and preferences. We chose two meat and one fish dish. While we were waiting, we received olives, grisina and olive oil in cute ceramic containers similar to a tin can. Simply put, the food (despite the complex combination of flavors and textures) was flawless. I was impressed that (which is somewhat customary with this type of food) the quantity was so great that I was really full. I didn't even want to take the dessert (which they say was perfect) in order to keep the flavor of my enriched fish as long as possible. We were served by a young but educated waiter. Although we didn't announce it when booking, we came with a child, he quickly found a seat, utensils....Explained the dishes, asked if we needed anything....present, available but unobtrusive. Unfortunately, I didn't take pictures of the food because we couldn't resist tasting it. It's a pity, because the arrangement of the food was up to par. Check it out for...
Read moreThe restaurant is attractive as soon as you get inside it's well decorated. Friendly welcoming staff. Once you seat, choose the cocktail from a short list. First sips great balance nothing to declare the bartender know his things. Little appetizer taste good. The waitress knows well the wines and she brings us great selection by glass, really enjoyed. But then the dishes arrives one by one and it's a déception, that's doesn't match with the first feeling of everything around. They use beautiful plate but the main product on the plates are not elaborate and losted with the overpowering garnish in my opinion. The seabass ikejime was hard to recognize the fish, too much different flavors around so no fish taste at all. The adriatique shrimps ceviche was better but didn't find the mix with the sweet jam interesting. The smoked mozzarella was simple, can't go wrong with that. Then the shrimp and gnocchi served in a spider crad head plate was not elaborated at all. Overall taste was good I finished all my plates but it's was a weird feeling. Maybe we had too much expectations ? Grilled squid I don't know if you're using a gaz grill or a blow torch but the taste of the gaz on it for 72euros it's a bit sad. We didn't wanted to try the dessert after that. Then the bill come and you feel it's too expensive for the cooking skills we got. After we had dinner in the other michelin recommended restaurant in town and we paid 40% less and was a better food experience. Everything is great there but the food wasn't at the level of the rest at least last...
Read moreI dined here approximately a month ago with some friends and had really high hopes as it was noted to be one of ‘the best restaurant’s’ in Trogir as well as having a well known chef in the kitchen however, we were all left quite disappointed..
The dishes themselves had lots of potential and were beautifully presented but unfortunately they were hit and miss.
The warm appetiser ‘Jacob’ was the only dish served that was absolutely on point, the remaining dishes lacked refinement, restraint and some dishes were plain and simply bland.
The Langoustine was too chuncky with no accompanying or complimentary elements on the plate to add any flavour .
The Tuna was also cut too thick however, this dish came with some complimentary elements which made the Tuna more palatable and enjoyable than the Langoistine.
The fish fillet was Ok however, the parsnip purée and barely were terrible, zero flavour and the portion size completely overwhelmed the plate.
The lamb was tasteless and one of the biggest disappointments of the evening.
The Pasta was perhaps the only saving grace as the flavours of the ragu were delicious and the reversing of the elements was a little bit of fun.
The desserts were mainly deconstructed blah blah blah. All the white wine that was served was not cold enough by any means which took away the joy on a hot summers evening once you had to wait for it to cool in the ice bucket.
The atmosphere was quite lovely and the staff were also very friendly and welcoming. Overall, we were disappointed but there is plenty...
