We went opening day this year, and it was perfect. I thought it would be busy but it was actually really quiet. The longest we qued for a water slide was 5 minutes. Not all the slides were open however, I noticed they opened a few for the first few hours and then they opened a different few in the afternoon ( but closed the morning ones) this was perfect as there was not that many people in the park and it split the day up lovely. As it was opening day not all the restaurants were open which was a little dissapointing however once we actually looked around their were the main ones open so we were able to get everything we needed. The food inside was also very reasonably priced we bought ice cream from the ice cream stand. Donuts from the Donuts stand ( these are the most amazing donuts I have ever had and they came with so many options for toppings. If your going to experience 1 thing from this water park, let it be these donuts ) and just before the park closed we went to get some chips, drinks and crisps from the food stand that was open and honestly we paid the same amount for food inside the park as we would have outside the park which is amazing as normally places like these jack up the prices as soon as you enter. As we came out of season, there was also plenty of beds available. We had 6 beds by the kids Poole for the children and when they decided they had enough of the water we easily found another 6 beds with shade in a different area for the adults to have a swim. The wave Poole was turned on every hour and a clackson sounded all throughout the park so you knew it was about to be turned on. Security were extremely friendly and professional, my son is autistic so any time we have to go through a security check I worry about how he is going to react but the gentleman in charge was an absolute angel and brilliant with both adults and kids. I remember coming here in July 2012 and I will be honest I'm not one for water parks so I didn't enjoy it that much, the park was over crowded and the heat in July that year was so unbearable that you could not walk around bear footed. This time around I invested in some water shoes and 100% they were my best buy for this holiday. Even this time around I noticed people complaining about how hot the floor was and they couldn't walk on it, so definitely invest in a pair of water shoes if you are thinking of going here. Even if you are like me and do not like water slides there are so many other activities here for you to do that you can spend a whole day and not go on one slide and still have an absolutely amazing day. Overall my tips would be go out of season, constantly reapply sun cream, wear a hat, get a pair of water shoes and try...
Read moreTerrible experience. My wife and I were looking forward to a fun day in WaterWorld, but we were very disappointed.
First off, the tickets are very expensive. This wouldn't have been an issue had the park been great, but sadly it wasn't. The lockers you can rent for 5.5 euros works well, but I believe they should have been free with the high admission price. They are not very big, so a family should probably get two lockers.
Several of the slides were closed (at least three, and they looked great, so that sucked), some of the slides you had to be a least two or three people together, which makes it no fun if you're riding the slides alone or two people, because they won't let you ride them if it's not full. This I found out at the top of the tallest slide, so I had to walk all the way down again. Not cool - a sign would have been nice.
You have to wait for a ring because there's not enough, and then go wait in line for the ride. There should have been more than enough for everyone to grab a ring and wait at the ride, not two places.
There were generally a lack of signs, so it was difficult to navigate the place and to find the rides. You could scan a code and get a map on your phone - but guess where most people have their phone - the lockers.
The showers and changing rooms weren't very nice as well. The sunbeds are, luckily free, but the cabanas are €40!
The staff generally doesn't speak English, at least not very well, and they were kind of rude when I tried to ask if I could ride the slide alone (no signs again, so how could I know?)
I saw a drinking water tap and thought that I would fill my water bottle - but not surprisingly, it wasn't working.
Finally, the water was extremely cold.
Not a very good experience. Maybe Covid has been tough on the place, but considering the high cost of admission, I expected better. One slide closed for maintenance I can live with, but several - that's not good enough. The slides we did get to ride were fun, but all the little things just added up, so we went home earlier than we were planning on.
Not coming back, and I would not recommend the place to...
Read moreOverpriced and overrated. Even with the discount, it's too much. 50 euros ticket (normal tourist price, yes they charge you more, check review at the bottom) is way too much for the slides it have. Firstly there is big que waiting in almost every slide. We were waiting at least 1-1:30 hours in total. (15-20 minutes in some slides). It doesn't have variety of slides. The ground surface is concrete which absorb the sun heat and your feet get burn after 12:00. With the money they get every day, they should invest in putting something way better. Fortunately we didn't have kids with us because they are paying half price but they cannot enter in most of the slides (Height limits) which is understandable but they should mention it in detail at the entrance. I saw at least 3 kids crying because they couldn't do some of the slides. If the parent knew about the specific slides, either he wouldn't pay the ticket or take the kid in other slides. They don't have enough supervision to look after your private things (bags, wallet etc) while you do the slides and basically they force tou to buy 5 euros lockers which they could be either free or return the amount at your exit.
Some of slides are in poor condition.
I strongly advise not to go there as they don't respect their customers and they just want to get as much money as possible with poorly performance. But, if you insist going, look after their discounts. If you have a card with Bank of Cyprus, Elliniki Bank or Alpha Bank, you pay 37 euros instead of 50. Basically, if you are a tourist you will be charged more money because most of Cyprus residents (~95%) have 1 card of the mentioned. Another discount is with Metro Supermarket, if you buy 50 euros items you get a ticket for 25 euros. K-cineplex gets you 35...
