Laourou Beach — Attraction in Peyia

This beach was clean, clear and sandy throughout. Best beach we visited. €7.50 for 2 beds and an umbrella, which the guys walk round and take payment (we paid cash only) they stuck the receipt on the beds so they knew you had paid.

There were lots of fish to see in the water, little schools near the shoreline and some slightly bigger further out. You can swim out to the rocks and climb but be mindful they are slippy. The rocks scattered around also break the waves so it's calm enough for little ones to play in.

There is a little shop where you can buy ice creams (not cheap) and snorkeling gear/goggles and cold drinks. There is also a restaurant with an arcade which we did not visit and am ATM machine outside. At the top of the path to the beach there is a tap so you can swill the sand off your feet. Outstanding beach with some of the best snorkelling in Cyprus. You can see a great number and variety of fish around the rocks on both sides of the beach and near the shore itself. It's worth taking it slowly in the central area to see the small skates/rays.

Two sunbeds and a parasol were €5 at about 16.30 so it's not the cheapest (can't remember offhand how much for the whole day), but the facilities are good. Showers are free until 18.00 and €1 after that. Parking is plentiful and basically right on the beach. There's a restaurant and a kiosk each within 100m of the shore.

It can be extremely busy during the peak summer months of July and August. If you go then it's best either to arrive early or in the mid afternoon when people...

A great beach with plenty of sun beds and parasols available to hire. 2 beds and a parasol are €7.50 per day. The sea is brilliant for swimming and snorkelling and there also a range of water sports like jet ski, banana boats, paddle boards and para sailing all available a short walk along the beach. There are lots of rocks to scramble over near the sure and there are some submerged under water - be careful near these as there is a plant which can grow on them which can cause an irritation if you happen to brush against it.
