The service 6 of us visited here for food and drinks. The guy, Stephen, who dealt with our order was ok to start with but quite quickly became rude, pushy and what's worse insulting. Its fine to have a bit of banter but you have to know your audience and he clearly didn't! To hand menus out and say to one of our party" you're on the wrong page" and proceeded to turn her menu to the SALAD page was downright disgusting! He didn't know any of our party or anything about the lady in question!
The food Starters were mainly ok. Prawn cocktail was more cocktail than prawn with loads of lettuce and only a few prawns. The halloumi was nice but had to ask for the sauces that were meant to come with it. Rest of the starters were fine I had the hanging kebab which was satisfactory as were most of the other meals tho my husband was suprised when was asked how how he would like his PORK chop cooked! Then there was the salmon. It came dry and overcooked so of course was sent back and stephen, the waiter said he would bring a new one in a few minutes which was declined. His reply this one will be cooked properly didn't go down too well. It should have been 'properly' the 1st time. We spent nearly €200 and to not even get an apology.... So to sum it up. Food ok could of definitely been better. Service very disappointing. We didn't get the name of our drinks waiter but he was attentive pleasant and professional but unfortunately we would not return to this establishment. Maybe a turn tround in staff is...
Read moreGreat bar restaurant in a poplar area of Pieya . We only had snacks, which were fine, but observed other foods being served, which looked great. The menu was varied & would suit most people's tastes. The staff were polite & helpful & when they weren't serving, they were cleaning, which would indicate a level of pride in their work. The bar is known as a sports bar & hosts a number of football matches & I'm guessing possibly other sporting events.
There are several TV,s so a number of matches can be watched simultaneously. There is also the choice to watch the football match outdoors on a pleasant, well furnished patio. But equally fie those who prefer to be in the very large bar area air con & fans are provided.
They had a large drinks menu again catering for most tastes. They had a good selection of cocktails, the usual familiar cocktails & some specially selected all were served with a tasteful garnish . They also provided additional buckets of ice for longer drinks, which was a nice touch given the soaring temperature . All this created a very pleasant & friendly atmosphere so therefore I suggest it's worth giving it a try.
Additionally, it is located close to two large hotels, a taxi rank, a car hire facility ,other bars & a lovely beach with a regular...
Read moreAh, the local sports bar experience. If you’re looking for a culinary adventure that makes you question your life choices, this is the place for you. For a mere 10€, I was graced with a pizza that had clearly survived a deep-fried apocalypse and then endured the microwave's final insult. Topped with cheese that had the texture of a car tire, it was a meal to remember – mainly because my stomach will be reminding me of it for days.
Service here is an immersive experience. It took four valiant attempts to catch the waiter's attention. Apparently, taking orders is a skill they haven't quite mastered. When the drinks finally arrived after a breezy 45 minutes, it felt like we'd won a small, sad lottery.
Paying was an adventure of its own. The bar operates on a system so convoluted that even they can’t navigate it. After bouncing between four different staff members, each more bewildered than the last, someone finally decided to cash us out. But wait, there's more! The bill was a work of fiction, featuring wrong items that led to a delightful debate.
In summary, if you enjoy testing the limits of your patience and digestive system, this sports bar is...
