Beautiful palace and cheap tour (50 ck for students). Tour was almost 1 hour long and went through 9 rooms, but the tour guide only spoke in Czech, so for those who want to learn the history of the palace, we would have to listen to an audio guide or read a few sheets of text.

Having the tour guide give the tour in English--the 3rd most spoken language in the world--definitely would have improved the quality of the tour and attract more tourists, instead of catering to those who already live in...

Shortened guided tour due to Covid was still 30 minutes long. We didn't want to wait for the next English tour, but they gave us reading material and the guide gave us a quick overview between rooms. He seemed to be very engaging during the tour, especially with the children. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and...

The palace of the archbishop of Olomouc has an interesting history. The guide tells you all about it, in Slovak or German, with an English recount on paper. If you like local and Habsburg history, it’s worth the tour. It takes you through some of the old official apartments, some state rooms and the throne room, a more recent library and it ends in a cute little exhibition.

Apart from the guiding text, the artifacts are marvelous. Tourists must visit and see. Taking fotos cost for 2euros through the tour.

Pri návšteve Olomouca ho nesmiete vynechať. Počas cca hodinovej prehliadky sa dozviete o pohnutej histórii nie len objektu, ale aj mesta Olomouc. V adventnom období sa pridáva čo to aj o samotných sviatkoch a živote biskupstva počas nich. Prehliadka zahŕňa len časť priestorov (asi 8 izieb a sál), no o to reprezentatívnejších. Platiť je možné kartou a hotovosťou, fotenie sa platí samostatne (trochu mi chýbalo viditeľné upozornenie na túto skutočnosť). Pri vstupe sú toalety, bezplatné skrinky na odloženie veci (tento detail hodnotím veľmi kladne) a malý priestor so suvenírmi, ktoré je možné zakúpiť (turistické známky, alko a nealko víno, oblátky, atď.). Sprievodkyňa na vysokej úrovni, milá, mala o budove a jej histórii prehľad, nebolo to len o recitovaní textov. Cudzojazyčná prehliadka je na vyžiadanie pomocou audiosprievodcu a textovej brožúrky.
