Incredibly beautiful "Upper Square" in Olomouc. Unfortunately, Trinity Column is under renovation as of August 2024! Still, it is worth visiting for the Town Hall, Astronomical Clock, Hercules Sculpture, Caesar Sculptures, and other sculptures that surround the Town Hall and the Upper Square. Upper Square, also known as Horni Namesti, is a charming location perfect for a holiday. The main square features the impressive Holy Trinity Column, a 35-meter tall Baroque monument commemorating survival of the 18th-century plague outbreak. Additionally, the town hall building houses an astrological clock with 365 saints' names.

This town is a perfect choice for a holiday. But be careful you'll have to ask the restaurant if they accept credit card. There are many small restaurants they don't accept credit, be very careful, don't use ATM,, JBL charge you a lot of money. We used the ATM , we took 200 Czech crowns out of it. They charged extra costs now the same the amount. They charged 195 Czech krone. Do not use ATM, just use your card.

One of the two nice town squares of Olomouc. Good ice-cream, try poppy seed, it's very good. For the experimental ones try cucumber (no idea how that tastes). Town hall in the middle of the square, with an astronomical clock in socialist realism style. Small figures move at noon only. There is a white church behind the square where you can go up it's square tower for a view over the city.

A magical place where old and new meet. You can definitely feel the stunning atmosphere of the old city and at the same time see lots of young people walking around. A must-see location if you're visiting in the region. The architecture is amazing, as well as the restaurants and the transport. Great location.

Navštíveno minulý rok. Horní náměstí v Olomouci je jedním z nejmalebnějších a historicky bohatých míst ve městě. Pokud hledáte místo, kde se můžete pohodlně projít a přitom obdivovat historické památky, tento náměstí je skvělou volbou. Dominantou náměstí je Olomoucká radnice s krásně zdobeným renesančním portálem a hodiny s astronomickým ciferníkem. Na náměstí se nachází také další významné historické stavby, včetně Morového sloupu Nejsvětější Trojice, který je zapsán na seznamu světového dědictví UNESCO. Horní náměstí v Olomouci je skvělým místem pro všechny, kdo mají rádi historii a architekturu. Je to místo, kde se můžete nejen projít, ale také obdivovat fascinující historické památky a užívat si atmosféru města. Při příští návštěvě Olomouce se sem rád podívám znova.
