Incredibly beautiful "Upper Square" in Olomouc. Unfortunately, Trinity Column is under renovation as of August 2024! Still, it is worth visiting for the Town Hall, Astronomical Clock, Hercules Sculpture, Caesar Sculptures, and other sculptures that surround the Town Hall and the Upper Square.

Love this place & have been coming to Olomouc for a few years now to visit family & friends. There's a real mixture of buildings ranging from ornate colourful ones to the occasional Soviet style block. There are numerous pubs, restaurants & bars lining the square so you'll always get a decent beer & food. At Easter time there's a Spring fair & in December & start of January a Christmas fair. This town is a perfect choice for a holiday. But be careful you'll have to ask the restaurant if they accept credit card. There are many small restaurants they don't accept credit, be very careful, don't use ATM,, JBL charge you a lot of money. We used the ATM , we took 200 Czech crowns out of it.
