We stayed here for 2 weeks during the 2023 new year celebrations. The waves were several feet over head everyday! Very powerful strong waves for the more experienced wave rider. Several secret spots a short car drive away. The sand is black because of the areas volcanoes (duh) but powders off when it’s dry like most sand. Restaurants were awesome and fresh with great prices.
