Playa El Sunzal — Attraction in Departamento de La Libertad

We stayed here for 2 weeks during the 2023 new year celebrations. The waves were several feet over head everyday! Very powerful strong waves for the more experienced wave rider. Nothing special really, black sand but in a way that looks dirty, rocky beach, no infrastructure, water doesn't look nice. For me is an ugly beach but the sunset is nice that's why 3 stars. Also for surfing, kidding me, doesn't even have waves... People are used to very low standards so they overrated places...
