This review is for the ice cream shop and coffee shop. 5 stars The ice cream shop- great service by the woman who gives you unlimited samples! She was a gem. I visited every night as a night cap.

Coffee shop: the cafe is hit or miss depending on the staff. My first time there, the wonderful ice cream shop woman was there- greeting with her great smile and two other staff members. All was smooth and great. Coffee is good quality and the banana chocolate chip bread is an amazing combination with the coffee. Sugar and spoon were placed on table with order. We visited the next day and service was very slow. I had to ask for my order again. The third time we visited the coffee shop- on a Sunday morning- service was not the best. I had to get up twice for a spoon to stir coffee and sugar. Treats weren’t stocked- and staff was eating and hanging out on the counter. I felt that I was interrupting them. Atmosphere seemed appealing, we came here for the big “espresso martini” promo outside… they didn’t serve martinis, false advertising. It’s okay though, my husband and I order 2 of the new breakfast bagels. The man asked if we want avocado on it (the photo promo outside shows a photo with ingredients, it doesn’t come with avocado so we kindly asked for no avocado when he asked us) he asked what kind of bagel we would like so we said cheese bagel. After a 30 minute wait for bagels, our bagels came out with the wrong bagel one was plain and one was everything (honestly not a problem) however my husband just wanted to mention to them that they added avocado.. they laughed in our face…. I’m only writing this review because it’s the only time in all of my trip someone from El Salvador has belittled us. Anyway, we ate half and decided to take the rest in a take out box because the bullying was very odd for adults treating their customers. This time I asked for the box and the lady with red lipstick and glasses on laughed in my face too ….. very very weird situation. Honestly the lack of service and cruel behaviour from staff to the tourists makes this place a totally bad place to spend any time or money. Don’t fall for the cute aesthetic, go anywhere else. Also the smoothie and drinks are mostly ice. Not good.

(El ambiente parecía atractivo, vinimos aquí por la gran promoción de "espresso martini" afuera... no servían martinis, publicidad engañosa. Sin embargo, está bien, mi esposo y yo pedimos 2 de los nuevos bagels de desayuno. El hombre preguntó si queríamos aguacate (la foto promocional de afuera muestra una foto con los ingredientes, no viene con aguacate, así que amablemente pedimos sin aguacate cuando nos lo pidió) preguntó qué tipo de bagel nos gustaría, así que dijimos bagel de queso. Después de una espera de 30 minutos por los bagels, nuestros bagels vinieron con el bagel equivocado, uno era simple y otro era de todo (honestamente no es un problema), sin embargo, mi esposo solo quería mencionarles que agregaron aguacate... se rieron en nuestra cara... Solo estoy escribiendo esta reseña porque es la única vez en todo mi viaje que alguien de El Salvador nos ha menospreciado. De todos modos, comimos la mitad y decidimos tomar el resto en una caja para llevar porque el acoso era muy extraño para los adultos que tratan a sus clientes. Esta vez pedí la caja y la señora con pintalabios rojo y gafas también se rió en mi cara... una situación muy, muy extraña. Sinceramente, la falta de servicio y el trato cruel del personal con los turistas hacen de este lugar un lugar terrible para gastar tiempo y dinero. No se dejen llevar por su estética monótona, vayan a otro sitio. Además, los batidos y las bebidas suelen ser hielo....

I go to OHANA everytime I visit EL Tunco. I fell in love with both, their Ice cream shop and their Cafe, I love the way they treat you as family, you feel like home right away. Their ice cream shop is not only natural but simply the best I've had at El Tunco, I love how they are always coming up with new ideas; I'm always excited to try their new products and flavors, love their creativity.

The food and coffee at The Cafe is just what you need to start your day, the place is not only beautiful but delicious. Their tipico breakfast is a must!! their service is great. They have a lot of healthy options and a variety of drinks to relax and spend your evening there. Definitely recommend, You will leave with a happy tummy and an smile...
