Saaremaa Muuseum — Attraction in Saaremaa vald

Definetely worth to go, spare at least 3-4h for proper visit. Every floor is dedicated to certain era, museum workers are delighted to assist if you have a questions or got lost. 😀. A very cool castle that I definitely recommend to visit. An adult ticket was 10€ and it took us 2 hours inside the castle, i.e. in the museum. Be sure to reserve at least half an hour for a walk outside too. The castle is very large inside and there are endless different rooms. In the meantime, it felt like we were getting lost because there were so many rooms and stairs. Quite a lot of different exhibitions can be accommodated there. A particularly interesting museum located in the old castle (the only on in Europe not having been rebuilt since 14 century). Exposition is focused on the history itself, covering all periods, including the modern history, a few expositions dedicated to the Soviet era, but more leaning towards medieval history, including the history of the castle itself.
