This place is total RIP OFF, Do not go there! We had a very unpleasant experience .
Such waitresses as the blonde woman there ,should not be working at Vinotheque, she knows nothing about wines or servise.
We came to enjoy the atmosphere, an hour before the cinema and have a glass of wine with tapas. The waitress scolded us several times before we could order, but she served the other table with a rush. Maybe this service is optional for her. As serving men are more important then serving couples.
Finally, she came to us, my husband had a definite desire for his favorite Ribera del duero wine sort, so we thought it should be here in Vinotheque. The waitress said they have it. It was dark where we sat, waitress never mentioned the price. We thought, as average price in Estonial 6-8 euros a glass.
The wine was brought, about 15 minutes of waiting, and turned out that its not suitable . As it was OUTDATED and had a strong cork taste, Owner confirned me that later on email.
Waitress answer to that was..... no it is good we just did tryed it now with a staff in the kitchen🤣🤣🤣!
Usually in a restaurant / Winotheque, a bottle is brought, opened in front of the customer, they show you the cork, smell it, is the wine ok, give you to try, ask if it is suitable? NOT IN THIS PLACE!!! The glass was brought around the corner! So BE CAREFUL what you get.
Waiting time for tapas was nearly 40 minutes.
The Last surprice ! THE BILL! HARDLY covered bottom of OUTDATED glass of Ribiera wine! 30 eur!!! WOW!!! Waitress never mention that price!!!
When i wtote my review and asked for money return in my complaint email , owner promised to sort something out as a gift card , when i would prefer money return for that glass of wine and just dissapeared, never...
Read moreThe name Prelude doesn't give much indication about just what an atmospheric, delightful and top-shelf experience awaits you inside. The old wooden beams and antique furniture, together with heavy sofa chairs and tables lend an Old-World charm and elegance to otherwise rustic surroundings. Time can easily seem to pause here.
The highlight here is their vast wine and spirit selection, but it wouldn't mean much without the expert guidance of the staff, who clearly are as knowledgeable as they are passionate about their craft. A main key all over the world and in any field is to seek out people who are passionate (could be rephrased as 'nerdy') about whatever they are involved in. Your overall experience is almost guaranteed to be stellar in that case, and here too, one can just sit back, ask for advice or not but reassured that whatever you are served will be of high quality.
The food too is delicious, though portions tend to be small and the hardy-food heavy menu (a weighty yang/masculine hand is felt in there) could use a few small tweaks of refinement. But only a few.
Upstairs is a small sitting room for a cigar or slow sipping, in which you can slip back a few centuries for a little glorious while. I can't recommend this place...
