Ristorante la Perla — Restaurant in Saaremaa vald

This is a great little restaurant to have dinner/lunch.

We went here multiple times and tasted so many different things on the menu.

1.The duck- couldn’t fault it. Loved it with the red sauce. The salmon- we asked for this without cream and it was good piece of fish. Bolognese (spicy) if you like spicy food this is tasty! We also asked if we could have it without the chilli and they made it for us which was also very tasty. Pork schnitzel- tasty pork without any bones. Lamb chops. They were good although had a bit of grissle that made them chewy. The lasagna. Way too much cheese and white sauce for our liking. So if you like cheese this is for you. Bruschetta- this was one of my favourite things to get.

Service was great(and slow) - as is mostly in Saaremaa, but food was average. Salad was simple, fresh and crispy. Fish(salmon)-soup was quite nice but nothing special. Pizza - although you can pretty much make your own - was...well - not good .The cheese seemed like it was low quality or not appropriate for pizza(hot but hard) and there was way too much of it. The dow was nicely thin but seemed undercooked. Also, even though that I ordered chili and jalapeños as toppings, it was hardly spicy. The desserts were the best. Tasty Tiramisu (not like in Italy but nice and juicy ), filling and sweet Molten Chocolate Cake with yummy Ice Cream and my favorite - Ice Cream Shake...

Highly recommended: service and food, but...

It is better to go inside or into the winter garden behind, as the number of people (in the whole Baltic region) who drive expensive, flashy, show-off luxury cars, turn their ‘music’ up to full volume and terrorise the rest of the population is significantly higher than in Germany. The speed limit on the street in front is 10 km/h, but the noise level is often unbearable. Added to this are the many small, very loud mopeds.
