Nestled in the heart of Addis Ababa, this park offers a surprisingly lush escape. Our main draw was the children's play area, and while it had its pros and cons, the overall experience was noteworthy.

Upon arrival, be prepared for a thorough security check – a strict no-go policy is enforced for outside food, drinks, cameras, and electronics. We had to surrender our snacks at the entrance, so definitely leave your picnic basket at home! Inside, there's a paid parking lot available, which is convenient.

For refreshments, the park offers several kiosks, though the food selection is limited to basic fast food like burgers and sandwiches. Don't expect gourmet options here.

The children's play area is extensive, offering a good variety of activities. While we noticed some equipment, like the trampoline, was unfortunately broken, there were still plenty of other engaging play structures to keep the kids entertained. A particular highlight was the dedicated building hosting various creative activities for children, from painting to pottery – a fantastic bonus!

This central building also impressed with its clean restrooms and a charming collection of stalls selling handmade crafts, beauty products, children's toys, and, of course, coffee and light snacks.

Beyond the attractions, the park itself is a verdant space, boasting numerous fruit trees and even some edible plantations, adding to its unique charm. For the active visitor, basketball courts and a dedicated running area are available.

Beautiful playground , very enjoyable for children. One of a kind in our city! Went on a weekday so it wasn’t very crowded , and there was sufficient parking. Entrance fee payment is accepted via POS machine , telebirr or CBE birr only. They don’t take cash. There’s Euro shake for juices and shakes , Moyee coffee , and a lady that sells French fries , no other eateries, but there are vacant spaces yet to be occupied by fast food and...

I visited with four of my nieces and a nephew, and we all had a great time. The playground is perfect for younger children, while the track and basketball courts are well-suited for teens and adults alike.
