Urho Kekkonen National Park — Attraction in Northern Lapland

Stayed overnight in city, & ventured into park for a walk. What a wonderland!

Easy access & paths well maintained & signed. Made our way to Auroura Hut but unfortunately it wasn't open.

Walked on to the mountain/hill which again was well signposted but a bit icy in places. A number of story boards along the Way.

Crested the hill & then looped back to tge beginning of the track. Well worth it with amazing views. We did it in shoes - not snow shoes -...

The hike to Urho Kekkonen offers beautiful scenery and nature sounds like birds chirping, calmness. When we hiked in march on a fine morning while it was snowing, there were only few people on our trial. So it felt like we have trial to ourselves. We did not complete the full trial. Only did 1 hour hike during our visit. Myself and my partner are not much of hikers. But, even hiking in snow was easy due to the ski...

It's a very beautiful national park.All trails are well marked and enough lit.Maps/distances/level of difficulty all information is provided at the departure centre at the start.

All views are breathtaking and one must experience it if nearby.During my 7 days stay I explored all trails on foot and I enjoyed every bit of my exploration.I even got a chance to see the northern lights...
