Arktikum Arboretum is truly a hidden gem in the heart of Finnish Lapland! I had the pleasure of experiencing this breathtaking destination and I can honestly say it was an unforgettable experience.

The highlight of my trip was witnessing the mesmerizing Aurora Borealis dance in the night sky. The colors were simply stunning and unlike anything I have ever seen before. It's truly a sight that words cannot do justice, and I would highly recommend anyone visiting Lapland to witness this natural wonder for themselves.

Despite the chilly weather, with temperatures dropping to minus 23 degrees, the experience was still worth every moment spent outdoors. In fact, it only added to the magical atmosphere of the place! I would definitely advise visitors to pack plenty of warm clothes and accessories to keep them comfortable throughout their stay.

The Arboretum itself is a beautiful location to explore during the day. With its serene and peaceful surroundings, it's an ideal place to take a leisurely stroll and take in the natural beauty of the area. Though it was freezing cold outside, we took a walk to this place and loved it a lot! It was Monday, so unfortunately, Arktikum was closed (my bad, I didn't check the schedule, and it was Monday!), but the park is large and has lots of different flora - trees, bush, grass, all covered with thick snow, and as I understood, there is a lake next to the park where people have fun. Cool place! I would definitely come here in the future and visit it the other day, together...

Rovaniemi Finland’s fantastic cultural centre and museum touts an Arctic garden for the senses and knowledge of the plants found in the Arctic Circle as well as expanding the mind with the exhibitions of the Sami history and views into the Arctic habitat, including Aurora Borealis explanations.
