This is a great small museum. It will take about 45 minutes to go around but it is a time capsule. It has been restored or left just as it was when it was a working environment. There are the baths and showers as well as the private rooms of the owners. It may be out of the way of the usual attractions but it...

Surprisingly enjoyable! Never seen anything like it! 😃 And free admission makes it even better.

Almost all the other visitors seemed French at this relatively new museum, which is a rare experience in Nice.

(Although I do wish the museum staff hadn't rushed us out of the building ~ 15 minutes...

Cet établissement de bains publics a été conçu par le chaudronnier Auguste Pommer en 1888 dans le style "Belle époque"et inauguré en 1890. Au centre se trouve un superbe atrium avec un escalier de bois orné de grands vases de plantes qui conduit aux cabines privées de douche et de bain à l'étage supérieur. On peut visiter tout l'établissement depuis le petit jardin jusqu'à la terrasse et son lavoir , en passant bien sûr par les salles de douche et de bain d'époque et même l'appartement privé de la famille Pommer. On comprend ainsi le fonctionnement de ces bains à la fin du XIXe siècle, et le rôle qu'ils jouèrent dans la ville.
