I always look to reviews when booking experiences and a lot of time it’s hard to parse through the reviews to gauge what the actual experience is, so I’m going to be as honest and detailed as a possibly can. I did 5 nights in Paris with my wife and 2 children ages 5 and 7. I looked into the private river cruise, because I was looking for a somewhat unique experience and a fun way to see the city. When doing research for my trip I had read that doing a private river cruise at the start of your visit is a great way to get a feel for the city and where various landmarks are relative to each other this couldn’t have been more true. 10/10 times if it was my first time visiting Paris I would start out my trip with a private river cruise. We did our cruise at dusk our first night there and it was truly magical. Honestly it may have been the highlight of our trip. We opted to be picked up at the Champs de Elysees location. We took an Uber from our hotel and were dropped off a short distance from the loading area. We were met by 2 very friendly gentlemen, one who drove the boat and one was our guide. My one complaint with the entire experience was that our guide spoke English well, but there were some conversational communication issues. We set off on our 2 hour cruise. It was a brisk April night, but they had blankets and some beverages available, which made the experience even better. You can bring your own food and alcoholic beverages as well. The trio started by heading west on the river passing the Louvre, Musee D’Orsay past Notre Dame and around a small island it was really breathtaking to take all the architecture, which is far more ornate than anything we have in New York City where I live. The guide did a great job of pointing out sites and explaining various landmarks and giving some brief historical context or detail. While it was educational, I would categorize the knowledge and historical detail as more of an overview. We spent an hour going up river and then went back towards the Eiffel Tower to see it when it lights up at dusk. They did a wonderful job timing it and an even better job getting the boat in position for my wife to get a video of my kids watching it light up(she is very particular and they exceeded expectations). Being on the water and seeing the Eiffel Tower light up and sparkle from that vantage point, was worth the price of admission alone. It was my wife’s favorite part of the trip and we had some really incredible private tour experience on the trip. After the Eiffel Tower we went east in the river and got to see the sister statue to the Statue of Liberty in New York as well as some more modern parts of the city. And then back to Champs de Elysees where they dropped us off. It is not cheap at €500-€600, but it’s well worth the money in my opinion to be able to experience the city from the river at...
Read moreI organized a boat cruise for my husband’s birthday with My Paris River and the experience was perfect. From first inquiry to planning all the details of my surprise, the team at My Paris River (Amandine and especially Audrey) were incredibly kind and accommodating. Since I invited another family to the cruise, I asked a lot of questions and requested for some changes. All of which Audrey handled with patience and professionalism.
A unique experience for me was coordinating with Audrey regarding the rain and catered platter. Due to the unforeseen rain storm, we postponed our cruise the morning of (My Paris River and Liya, the photographer suggested it to ensure the best experience) and delivered a complimentary platter to our postponed cruise. That was the kindest thing anyone has done for us in a long time! Shoutout to Zest Planche for their generosity and beautiful/fresh platter.
Service: amazing! Abraham, our driver was also so accommodating and professional
Boat: looks new, clean, and was comfortable
Price: irrespective of the price, the service was perfect. I think it was a very good value for families and/or couples. I love that there were many service options to customize our experience. We ordered the champagne, platter, and photographer — all of which made our cruise classy, relaxing, and memorable.
When we introduce my in-laws to Paris, I will most certainly book a cruise with My Paris...
Read moreI was in Paris for a week with my family and wanted to arrange a special evening to punctuate our last night in the city. A boat down the Seine at sunset was the first thing that came to mind. After vetoing many of the larger, crowded dinner cruises (not our style) I reached out to My Paris River Cruise for a quote and availability. I was surprised they could accommodate us on three weeks notice in July. Their response to my inquiry was quick and finalizing the arrangements was seamless. I was grateful for their very clear communication and cancellation policy. We met Logan, our Captain, at the dock and he gave us a warm greeting. We had people in our party with mobility issues and he took great care to escort them from dock to the boat. He spoke perfect English and was an absolute delight. The 90 minute cruise beginning at 900p covered many of the highlights of the city via our private boat. He offered us still and sparking water as well as blankets as the sun set. Logan was a wealth of information and so very kind. I can't recommend him or My Paris River Cruise enough. It was the perfect farewell to Paris for our...
