It is worth the visit for many reasons. It has beautiful stained glass and a lovely gilded ornamented organ as well as many restored gargoyle features adorning the outside of the nave. If you want, the view from the top of the bell tower is worth the 2€ donation and good exercise to wear off (some of) your lunch!. Great panorama.

Gorgeous cathedral worth visiting. Lofty and spacious architecture showing its age (beautifully) in places. Some excellent gargoyles on the outside around the building worth investigating. I was there at Christmas and there were some interesting natale scenes from around the world.

While we were outside, we got to see some guys working on the gargoyles that they are doing as part of the renovation for this church. Really interesting to watch people doing what seems like medieval work in the modern era, and fun to see the gargoyles up close.

A beautiful and historical church with a very respectful history, but unfortunately externally you are bombarded with the sight of ugly spray paintings of useless anarchists. 😡 It needs to be painted over as to not harm the magnificent historical restoration of the building (something France has a huge issue with, sadly).

By the way, if you try doing that again I'll be...

I have to say one thing about this tower- a hell of a long way up! Which is part of the reason I love it so much, there are a good number of steps to go up and it made the kids feel accomplished getting to the top. It IS WINDY at the top for obvious reasons so make sure you are careful with your stuff!
