Le Clos Lupin — Restaurant in Le Havre

This was a truly wonderful restaurant with great service. I highly recommend it. The food had a vibrant depth of flavour in every dish and presentation was great too.

I have not been particularly impressed by many French restaurant on my 2017 Trip in France due to the often simply traditional style of cooking such as white fish with white sauce and a salad. Although tasty and well cooked I find that all a bit boring. Not so at Le Clos Lupin. My Salmon capaccio was fresh and flavoursome and my pork with muchroom and apple cider cream sauce was out of this world good.

I also sampled my partners duck that was served in a beautiful rich jus and cooked to perfection, her stawberry soup dessert that look a bit simple a first but was absolutely delicious and I also had a few bits of the other dishes at the table that I can remember how to pronounce let alone spell but they were also delicious.

Not a single bad dish, great service, 24 to 29 euro per person and just off the main tourist road....

We had a wonderful dinner at Les Clos Lupin in Étretat. We chose the three-course menu for €33 and were impressed by the value for money. The starter was pork and spinach ravioli, very tasty and well balanced. For the main course, we had beef cheek confit with vegetable purée – rich and delicious. Dessert was a crispy crêpe with apple, the perfect finish. Service was fast, attentive, and friendly. Everything ran smoothly. Highly recommended! We decided to eat there so they open at 7pm and at 6.45pm we where at the door because they don't take reservations. We were third in line and people started to get in line behind us. When they open the restaurant they give you a place in the restaurant and seve people the same order they entered witch is very nice. The menu sn't really big and you can choose from 5 starters 5 main dishes and 5 desserts along with a good selection of wine (also other beverages of course).
