Saint-Émilion Collegial Catholic Church at Saint-Émilion — Attraction in Libourne

If you're in the Saint Emilion area, you'll want to visit this church for its historical stories. Walking through the church was very therapeutic, and finding all the little Easter eggs with our tour guide was really nice. Walked through the church, and ended up on the high ground of the city, right by the clock tower, to have the bird's eye view of everything. Would have loved to enter the catacombs and caves underneath the church...

Great views of St Émilion and the surrounding area from the top of the tower. Not very well advertised, but if you go to the tourist information office and tell them you would like to go up, they will charge you €2, ask for some id they can keep hold of whilst you visit, and they will give you a key to get into the tower. Outs about 170+ spiral steps to the tip and then you'll see that you've just spent the best...

What we appreciated the most about Saint-Émilion Collegial Church is the age and that it is like two buildings in one. The older section, away from the altar is clearly Romanesque style.
