Plenty of room on the beach in September. Bathing there is delightful, but lacking shade. Some shade on the benches above the beach. There is a decent size Spa supermarket a short walk from the beach towards the centre of Beaulieu where you can buy food, drink and so on, plus a couple of very pleasant eating places (left of the Spa supermarket) on the main street up towards the train station.
There is another long, sandy beach in this area; namely in Villefranche-sur-Mer, also lacking shade.

Read moreClose to the train station so even if you don't live in Beaulieu sur mer you can easily get there. At the beach there are lifeguards, showers and plenty of space. Unfortunately it's not sandy and not hyper-clean and the water got very deep instantly. No fast food restaurants or bakeries nearby so be prepared - or go to the fancy one...
