Built in 1674, transformed during the first expansion in 1708, it was built to protect the city from attacks by Dutch fleets. The Bastion de la Hollande dominates part of the walls of the northwest of St. Malo. A statue of Jacques Cartier, a Malouin sailor who discovered the Gulf of St. Lawrence and eastern Canada in 1534, was placed there. The bastion is also equipped with several cannons dating from the end of the 18th century, recalling its use in the defense of St. Malo during the time of...

also Saint-Malo ist eine sehr schöne Strand/ Hafenstadt. 😌 Habe den Aufenthalt hier sehr genossen. :) Es gibt eine Menge zu sehen, dass kann ich euch sagen. 😄 Und natürlich die niedlichen Möwen wieder. 🤩 Huijuijui. Kleine lustige Gesellen. ^w^

Ne, in dieser Stadt steckt auch viel Geschicht und sehr viel Kultur. Tolle Strände, Türme, Mauern, Fachwerkhäuser, Faune und Flora und natürlich das Stadtleben selbst. ^^ Wirklich sehr empfehlenswert. 😉
