This is an absolute jewel of a place. The peaceful and beautiful grounds, the beautiful Manor, the endless delightful cozy nooks, the relaxing pool, a perfect location on the river close to La Roque Gageac and the Marqueyssac Gardens--- all this would be enough to make this lovely chateau a winner. But the real jewel at the heart of it all is Ouaffa-- the lovely hostess. I love hotels, and I love finding unique and beautiful places in stunning locations. I have stayed in many. But to have a hostess who truly loves her property and truly loves her guests-- even for a brief visit-- is the rarest of experiences. She is the personification of the word hospitality. She assures that you will be happy in your beautiful surroundings. Her homemade breakfast feasts are unparallelled. I will always remember the very special time at this exceptional Manoir.

Beautiful stay with lovely and helpful hosts! The landscapping and stonework really complements the historical building, covered in luxurious roses and rare trees. The site itself is exceptional, right between sheer cliffs and the river Dordogne. I highly recommend the breakfast and the variety on offer, from the croissants to the exceptional omelette, the local cheese and saucisson. My favourite was the home made creme brulee. A 10mn walk to la Roque-Gageac city center, make sure you take the walking track and avoid walking on the road.

We had such an enjoyable stay. The breakfast is phenomenal. The hosts are so kind and speak English well. The grounds are breathtaking. They had CLARINS products for toiletries which blew me away. The views are stunning. The location to town is convenient since there is a private path to town. I can’t even begin to express how magical this place is. If they have an availability when you’re in this area just book it. You won’t regret it. I promise. I’d go back a thousand times.

After a few days in the bustling city of Bordeaux, Manoir De La Malartrie felt like stepping into paradise. Nestled quietly on the banks of the Dordogne River, with spectacular cliffs rising above it, this place offers serenity like no other.||The gardens are breathtaking, and the views are simply stunning. The rooms are spacious with beautifully preserved historical features, creating a perfect blend of elegance and comfort. What really makes this place special, though, are the hosts, Ouafaa and Daniel—a lovely couple whose kindness and warmth make every guest feel truly welcome.||Ouafaa seems to be tirelessly working seven days a week, yet she always greets guests with a calm, joyful demeanor and a beautiful smile. During our stay, we saw her cutting fresh dahlias to decorate the rooms and breakfast tables, and roasting bell peppers in the garden for her homemade harissa. The entire setting, paired with her energy and kindness, is exactly what you’d imagine in a perfect idyll.||On our arrival day, the sun came out, and I casually mentioned how tempting the outdoor pool looked. Even though it had been turned off for the season, they immediately put out towels and started warming the pool—a gesture that truly embodies their level of care and attentiveness. They also occasionally hosted aperitif gatherings for guests to meet and exchange travel tips, with delicious food and wine to enjoy.||Just two hours into our stay, my mother turned to me and asked if we could extend our stay by a day—and luckily, we were able to! It was the best decision we made. The location is perfect for activities, with the boat ride, Marqueyssac Gardens, and great restaurants all within walking distance.||I truly can’t say enough about how wonderful Manoir De La Malartrie and its hosts are. Every detail, from the warm hospitality to the beautiful surroundings, made this stay unforgettable. We will absolutely return, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, charming getaway in the...
