Musée du Chocolat par Schaal - Musée, Magasin d'usine & Restaurant — Attraction in Strasbourg

My family visited this museum during our Christmas trip to Strasbourg. We bought tickets online to participate in one of the workshops. I've done a few other chocolate factory tours (in America), but this is by far the best one! The videos and displays were very informative. You'll get more in-depth knowledge here. I was most impressed that Schaal takes great responsibility in their cocao bean plantation practices. You also get to taste the cocao bean, hazelnuts, and plenty of their chocolate. Our workshop instructor, Sophie, was very happy to speak in English as well as French. She did a wonderful job! She was happy to take group photos for everyone at the end of the workshop, too. Worst experience for the first visit!! The trainer running the workshop wasn’t welcoming at all. They were very rude discriminative. We just came for reservation. They didn’t start yet, but the Lady managing the work shop she refused to welcome my kids to participate althought their was availability !! Although she had 4 chairs free and did not start yet! The lady from reception came to ask the trainer to allow as participate but the trainer refused !!! What a loosing business!! This type of discriminative employees will get you broke! We paid for nothing!! I dont recommend people from global countries to visit because the staff is not ready for potential customers from other countries!! You should review you customer care if you care about your business!! My visit was 28/06/2023 check your cameras if you really care!!!

Pire expérience pour la première visite !! Le formateur qui dirigeait l'atelier n'était pas du tout accueillant. Ils étaient très grossiers et discriminatoires. Nous venons juste de réserver. Ils n'ont pas encore commencé, mais la dame qui gère l'atelier a refusé d'accueillir mes enfants pour qu'ils participent malgré leur disponibilité !! Bien qu'elle ait eu 4 chaises libres et qu'elle n'ait pas encore commencé ! La dame de la réception est venue demander au formateur de l'autoriser à participer mais le formateur a refusé !!! Quelle entreprise perdante !! Ce type d'employés discriminatoires vous fera perdre la tête ! Nous n'avons rien payé !! Je ne recommande pas aux personnes des pays du monde de visiter car le personnel n'est pas prêt pour les clients potentiels d'autres pays! ! Vous devriez revoir votre service client si vous vous souciez de votre entreprise !!

This was a cute little museum! I appreciate the effort they put into the exhibits; all had three languages (French, English and German), and the creativity of them was excellent as well. I especially liked the sensory section - the scent tubes were really cool! We did not get to do the workshop, but it looked really cool - design your own chocolate bar, with a multitude of ingredients to choose from.
